SCOPE This standard aims at specifying requirements and test methods of the ventilation grille attached to the instrument panel (I.P.) used for vehicles manufactured by GMDAT (passenger cars, multi-purpose passenger vehicles, trucks and buses) 2. SCOPE Apply for the ventilation grille a
4、ttached to the instrument panel used for vehicles manufactured by GMDAT (passenger cars, multi-purpose passenger vehicles, trucks and buses) 3. TERMS 3.1. Ventilation grille - blow control device attached to the duct system which is installed in the module for air-conditioning and ventilation of the
5、 cabin. It may be called the ventilation nozzle assembly. 3.2. Vane - Blade for blow control that moves up and down or right and left through operation of the control knob 3.3. Barrel - Housing for controlling blow through horizontal or vertical operation 3.4. Shut off door - Blow control plate atta
6、ched to the ventilation nozzle 4. NO. OF SPECIMENS 4.1. Unless specified otherwise in each clause, min. 3 specimens shall be used respectively for approval test and quality examination. In case of division into LH and RH, the above no. of specimens applies to each. The number may be changed through
7、consultation between the specimen manufacturer (or supplier) and the engineer in the design dept. 4.2. I.P. and assembly shall be used for temperature resistance, operating force, air inflow, durability and heat resistance test, and specimens required in the related standard shall be used for colorf
8、astness test 5. APPROVAL The ventilation grille supplied as products according to this standard shall be identical to the approved specimens. In case of any change in approved specimens, approval shall be acquired from Engineering Center. in case of specimens for DVP (Design verification Plan), only
9、 separate consultation may be required. CONDITION Unless otherwise specified, tests shall be performed in the as received condition wi
10、thout any special pre-conditioning. 7. APPARATUS 7.1. Forced ventilation-type oven that is capable of keeping temperature to required value 2.5K 7.2. Cold chamber that is capable of keeping temperature down to -403K 7.3. Hot chamber unit that is capable of controlling temperature from ambient temper
11、ature to 150 7.4. Xenon-arc type daylight exposure test equipment stated in EDS-T-7415 clause 5.1 7.5. Push-pull gauge - The operating range shall not exceed 3 times the operating force of specimens, and 5% accuracy shall be ensured. The tension gage may be used depending on circumstances. 7.6. Air
12、flow meter - It shall be capable of measuring flow when the blower is operated at the 4th level with the ventilation grille installed to the module assembly. 8. REQUIREMENTS 8.1. The ventilation grille provided as a specimen shall be free from cracks and other harmful defects. 8.2. All materials use
13、d for the ventilation grille shall be approved ones conforming to drawing specifications, and shall be harmless to human body and not subject to hydrolysis or cracks. 8.3. Organic-coated plastic injection parts shall meet requirements of Table 2 in EDS-T-7041. 8.4. Additional requirements other than
14、 those presented in the following test procedures and evaluation shall be separately specified in related drawings. 9. TEST PROCEDURES AND EVALUATION 9.1. Temperature resistance test This test shall meet test conditions of EDS-T-7041 (Instrument panel test method) clause 6.2. After test specimens sh
15、all exhibit no harmful change, such as wrinkle, color or surface change and dimension change. 9.2. Colorfastness test The specimens shall be exposed to light source according to test procedures in EDS-T-7415-B. After test, specimens shall meet requirements of Grade 7 in EDS-T-7415-B. Air inflow test Air inflow through the shut off door shall not exceed 1000 dS /h(1m3/h) at 250 Pa. 9.4. Durability test Durability test of the vent
17、ilation grille shall be conducted to the sequence in the following table. During and after test, specimens shall create no rattle, squeak and scraping noise.
