It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3172. 1. PURPOSE Purpose of this specification is it to formulate the functi

3、on test and fatigue test conditions of the flat fuse wire inserts assembled in the vehicle (autofuse), marked as safety fuse in the following. 2. NUMBER OF THE TEST SAMPLE For the sampling and release test after this regulation, 50 pieces safety fuses of a type at least are to supply in connection w

4、ith a works certificate after DIN 50049-2.2. It is expected that the voltage drop and fusing time represent the tolerance range of the production scattering breadth on given test samples. If this assumption of the safety fuses isnt satisfied, the ranges of tolerance of production scattering breadth

5、must be specified for these required characteristics in the works certificate in disregard of the individual measuring values. 3. QUALITY SURVEILLANCE For the surveillance of production quality and the fulfillment of this test specification is the dept. QA responsible. 4. APPROVAL THROUGH THE GMDAT

6、TECHNICAL CENTER The safety fuse supplied for the installation in the production must correspond to the released parts of sample in every consideration. Every change against the release samples required the approval of the GMDAT TECHNICAL CENTER. 5. CONCEPTS 5.1. Nominal current JN The nominal curre

7、nt JN of the safety fuse is the electrical current, after which the safety fuse is named. 5.2. Test Current JP The test current JP is the value of current, where the determination of fusing time happens. 5.3. Drop in voltage U The drop in voltage U is the voltage which is measured on the nominal cur

8、rent JN at the safety fuse in the test method after clause 6.5. 5.4. Fusing time t The fusing time t is the period, after which the safety fuse on a test current JPbreaks the current flow. Voltage stabilizer with electronic stabilization for function test Voltage range 3V . . . 32V continuously adjustable Current range 0A . . . 80A current limitation continuously adjustable Residual waviness 1% 6.1.2. Voltage indicator

Oscillatory table with oscillator for the accomplishment of an examination after clause 6.10. The oscillatory table with oscillator, named oscillatory table shortl

11、y in the following, is a device, with which oscillations are independently carried out each other on time in a vertical or rather 2 vertically standing one by on horizontal directions. The oscillator must be so carried out, that the oscillatory table accomplishes oscillations correspondingly to foll

14、5. 03. 14 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 21 VERSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 6.2. General requirements 6.2.1. The examinations are to accomplish at +235K, if not otherwise specified. The formulated characteristics and demands must be satisfied by every test sample. The function of safety fuse must be

15、 given up to a maximum testing voltage of 32V(test method see clause 6.11). 6.2.2. The safety fuses must be so accomplished, that they satisfy the specifications after DIN 72581 and SAE J 1284. 6.2.3. All materials used for the safety fuse must correspond to the drawing specifications and the data i

16、n the releases as well, in particular, no materials endangered tension crack may be utilized. 6.2.4. The safety fuse must be fixedly seated in the double-resilient contacts of the safety fuse box and be well attachable or rather removable. 6.2.5. After the melting of safety fuse, a constant interrup

17、tion of the current path must be guaranteed. 6.3. Optical and dimensional check 6.3.1. The dimensions and tolerances formulated in the releases and construction drawings of the safety fuse must be satisfied by the safety fuse. Details, which arent given on the drawing of construction of the safety f

18、use, must be accomplished effectively. 6.3.2. The safety fuse may show no error or damages, as e.g. cracks or burrs, which impair the function or handling. 6.3.3. The safety fuse must be provided with the nominal current strength and the manufacturer mark on its safety fuse body. In addition, the sa

19、fety fuse body must be inked up correspondingly to the colour code mentioned in the following table. The safety fuse body must be so constructed, that the functiona

Test Apparatus 6.4.1. For the determination of the functional value, the safety fuse is inserted in the follo

21、wing outlined test apparatus and brought in horizontal position. The test apparatus can be purchased by the company Little Fuse Inc., 800E Northwest Highway, Des Plains, Illinois 600 16. With the setscrews, the contact pressure is so adjusted, that the drops in voltage required after clause 6.4.2 ar

In order to avoid a heating of the safety fuse adulterating the measurement result at the contact, maximum admissible drops in voltage are speci

23、fied for the test apparatus. The test apparatus is to connect with the current supply through 2 channel with 4 mm2cross section and 600 mm length. For the adjustment of the test current, a copper frame is placed in the test apparatus instead of the sample (see sketch copper frame). On inserted coppe

24、r frame, following maximum drops in voltage are admitted: U between the points A and B or C and D: 2 mV/A U between the points E and F : 4 mV/A Copper Frame 6.5. Determination of the drop in voltage 6.5.1. For the measurement of the drop in voltage, the sample is inserted in the test apparatus and l

25、oaded with the nominal current JN. The determination of the drop in voltage happens at both plugs 1.5mm behind the outlet from the fuel substance, in the test apparatus at the measuring points A and B (see sketch). Following drops in voltage are specified: Nominal current JN Drop in voltage U to 15 A 150 mV max 16 to 25 A 80 mV max 26 to 30 A 60 mV max 6.6. Fatigue test at +23 5K The fatigue test is to accomplish afte

27、r SAE J 1284, Part 3, clause 3 and 4, with every 10 parts of a safety fuse type. The fulfillment of this requirement is to confirm tin the works certificate by the suppliers. 6.7. Determination of the fusing time For the determination of the fusing time, the sample is inserted in the test apparatus

28、and admitted with the test current JP. On page 8, the required fusing times are given in form of a diagram. The measurement is to accomplish in stationary atmosphere. 6.8. Stability against temperature and air humidity The safety fuse is stored 48h at a test temperature of +402K and (932)% relative

29、air humidity. After this test, the appearance of the safety fuse and the detachability of the lettering might not have been changed and the clauses 6.5 and 6.7 must be still satisfied. 6.9. Storage stability at extreme temperatures The storage stability of the safety fuse must be guaranteed at named

30、 test temperatures as follows. 24h storage at -403K 24h storage at -802.5K 1h storage at -902.5K The safety fuse must, thereafter, satisfy the clauses 6.5 and 6.7 at +235K test temperature. 6.10. Oscillation examination The safety fuse is inserted in a serial fuse box from the production in the curr

31、entness condition and mounted on the oscillatory table. The test succeeds in three main directions, Form of the oscillation : sliding sine Frequency of the oscillation : 10 Hz f 55Hz The passing of this range of frequency and subsequent back-slip to 10 Hz shall occur within 1 min5s. Amplitude of osc

32、illation: 0.76 mm The safety fuse is examined 2h each ease in a main plane. Whole test time: 6h After this test, the safety fuse shall still satisfy the clauses 6.5 and 6.7. 33、chnology 6.11. Function at 32V test voltage The safety fuse is loaded at a test temperature of +235K with a test current JP=1.5JN. The adjustment of the current occurs by means of compensating resistances or through the electronic current limitation of the instrument for voltage supply. After the re

34、lease of safety fuse, a voltage of 32V outcrops at the wrecked safety fuse wire. On the voltage, the interruption of the current path must be guaranteed. 7. EVALUATION The requirements given on the different tests must be satisfied by all examined safety fuses. During and after the fatigue test, no

35、malfunction may appear at the safety fuses, which diminishes the practical fitness of leads to the failure. If a sample falls out during the fatigue test, a repeat test is to accomplish with 10 safety fuses of this type. 8. VEHICLE TEST The safety fuse may show no malfunction or failures on a range of action to formulate by the GMDAT TECHNICAL CENTER under normal or complicated driving conditions by a vehicle test.
