3、ed by GMW3172&14863. 1. PURPOSE In these tech. delivery conditions general requirements are determined, which must fulfill electronic components in the vehicle. Additional necessary requirements, as for example the definition of function accuracy with determination of tolerance range or the determin

4、ation of definite test method or special determinations deviating from these tech. delivery conditions, are to be taken out from the respective tech. delivery conditions valid for the concerning components. 2. REMARK Samples of material released to this specification shall be tested according to thi

5、s spec. and approved by GMDAT technical center prior to the commencement of this bulk supplies. In the event of any intentional deviation from the requirement of this spec., it is the sole responsibility of the supplier to submit the purchaser unsolicited the samples for reapproval by GMDAT technica

6、l center prior to the commencement of delivery of deviant bulk supplies. 3. TEST SAMPLE AND TEST QUANTITY If nothing else is specified, for the first sampling and release test to this specification min. 5 piece of concerning electronic components with a works test certificate to DIN 50049-2.3 are to

7、 be delivered. 4. PRETREATMENT If nothing else is specified at the individual tests, the tests are performed at + 235 in the delivery condition on the electronic components without pretreatment. 5. TEST APPARATUSES 5.1. Test instruments corresponding to the specified EDS-test method, test spec. and

8、DIN-standards. 5.2. Measuring instruments and gauges for the dimensional tests. 5.3. Controllable voltage source 0 to 24V, minimum loading capacity 2A for the voltage supply of piece. 5.4. DC ammeter up to 2A, accuracy class min. 0.5. 5.5. Voltmeter up to 24V DC voltage, accuracy class min. 0.5. 5.6

9、. Laboratory oscillograph, frequency range DC to 50 MHz. 5.7. Heating cabinet with natural ventilating, controllable, which is able to keep constant the required temp. within 2.5K(a heating cabinet to DIN 50 011, part 1, section 2.2 is suitable for this). Cooling cabinet or low temperature cooling chest, controllable, with a cooling capacity up to -403. 5.9. Basically, other suitable test apparatuses are permissible.

11、However, it must be guaranteed that the measured variables in a sense of these tech. delivery conditions are recorded physical-correctly. 6. REQUIREMENTS 6.1. General requirements 6.1.1. Fitting place The requirements on electronic motor vehicle components mentioned in the following sections are par

12、tly dependent on fitting place of concerning part. The fitting places are divided into groups, which are characterized by the following letters: Characteristic Fitting place (1) A: On the engine (2) B: In the engine compartment (not on engine) (3) C: In the passenger compartment (4) D: At the other

13、positions If different requirements exist at the individual test sections, so these are characterized by the identification letters defined here. 6.1.2. Materials (1) All materials used for electronic components must correspond to the drawing spec. and to the details in the release. (2) The material

14、s used for housing of electronic components must resist the environmental load valid for the concerning components and may not be decomposed under such stresses. 6.1.3. Visual - and dimensional test Materials and type of respectively concerning electronic components may not show any damages or fault

15、s in the delivery condition, which injure the function or the appearance. The dimensions and their tolerance determined in the drawings and releases must be observed by the parts.6.1.4. Characterization On the housing of electronic components it must be labeled well-legibly and permanently. (1) The

16、GMDAT-trade mark to EDS-A-0040 (2) The manufacturing date to EDS-A-0012 (3) The part-No. (4) For plastic parts, as for as possible, the material characteristic to EDS-M-0101. 6.1.5. Storage temperature range The part must be storable in the temp. range of (1) A : -40 3 to + 155 2.5 permanent(according to fitting position it mu

18、st be estimated with max. higher storage temp.) (2) B : -40 3 to + 125 2.5 permanent (3) C,D : -40 3 to + 90 2.5 permanent to + 95 2.5 for 1h. If nothing else is specified, the storage time amounts to respectively 25h. Respectively after that, the function values, measured at ambient temp. tr = +23

19、5K, must be placed within the specified tolerance range. 6.2.2. Operating temp. range (1) Continuous operating temp At ambient temp. of 1) A : -40 3 to + 140 2.5 permanent. (according to fitting position it must be estimated with max. higher storage temp.) 2) B : -40 3 to + 105 2.5 permanent and to

20、+ 125 2.5 for 15 min.3) C : -30 3 to + 80 2.5 permanent to + 85 2.5 for 15 min. 4) D : -40 3 to + 70 2.5 permanent the component must be operable, and the function values must be placed within the specified tolerance range. (2) Electric load at testing the operating temp. strength : At testing the o

21、perating temp. strength of part this is to be operated in original load with a supply voltage of (14.0 0.1) V. (3) Resistance to sudden change of temperature: After and during the following described temp. cycle stress, the part must be completely operable, and the function values must be within the

22、 specified tolerance range: performance of 10 day cycles, at which the temp. cycle between min. and max. operating temp. tminand tmax(according to identification letter) must be executed within maximum time of 60 minutes : 2h at tmin. 2h at tmax. 2h at tmin. 15h at tmax. In these time intervals the

23、temp. changing times are not included. (4) Temperature shock stress: After and during the following described temp shock stress, the electronic component must be completely operable, and the function values must be placed within the specified tolerance range: performance of 10 day cycles, at which t

24、he temp. cycles are to be performed with change speed of min. 10/min and max. 25/min. Duration of stress (day cycle): repeated respectively 2h at tminand tmax. beginning at tmin. During this stress, the component operated with a supply voltage of 14.0v and original load is connected and disconnected

25、 additionally at stress with the minimum operating temp. tminfor 15 min. 6.3. Salt spray test For component parts, which are to be assigned to their fitting place according to the identification letters A, B and C(D: only external parts), a salt-spray test to EDS-T-7143 with all connections, cables

27、st cycle and with the requirements mentioned in the following:6.3.1. Progress in time (1) Thermal pretreatment: Temp. storage of component 1h at + 802.5 (without electric function) (2) 1 cycle: 24h storage in the salt-spray to EDS-T-7143 7h drying time at + 40 2.5K 17h storage in the salt-spray to E

Electric stress of component during the test prog

29、ress (1) During the storage in the salt-spray, the mains power supply voltage is applied to the test part, such as in the vehicle under the condition: “Ignition on“. (2) During this time the component is connected functionally all 20 min for 10 min. This can be either a permanent switching-on or a s

30、witching-on with equal rhythm, as required at the fatigue test of component part. (3) With the start of drying time mentioned under clause 6.3.1, (2), the voltage supply of component is disconnected(such as in the vehicle under the condition: “Ignition off“). (4) 10 min before the start of respectiv

31、e drying time the test part is connected such as under clause 6.3.2, (1) and tested functionally. 6.3.3. Requirements During and after this test progress the function of component must be guaranteed, the function values must be placed within the specified tolerance range. 6.4. Stress in condensed wa

32、ter - climates Condensed water - constant climate test to EDS-T-7005-D3-Grade 3 with all connections, cables and plugs with electric supply and corresponding load in mounting position mounted.At electronic control units, additionally all inputs are to be provided with the corresponding signals, as w

33、ell as all outputs are to be operated with original load, in order to make possible a simulated vehicle operation of control unit. During this test, the supply voltage for the electronic component is connected for 1h and disconnected for 1h repeatedly. During (in the connected condition) and after t

34、his stress the concerning part must be completely operable, and the function values must be placed within the specified tolerance range. Besides, any change on the outside surface may not occur. Test for water protection For components, which are to be assigned to their mounting place to the identification letters A, B and C(D: only outside parts) a test for water protection is to be performed to DIN 40050, sheet 9, 0

36、2.75, protection type IP4A and DIN 40053, sheet 2, 04,72. After this stress, the function values must be within the specified tolerance range. 6.6. Mechanical stress 6.6.1. Oscillating process For components fixed to the engine (identification letter A) the corresponding vibration strength is separa

37、tely to be defined according to mounting position. The requirements mentioned in the following are valid for all other component parts: the test is performed to EDS-T-9321 “Vibration test with wide band noise“: (1) Required individual determinations 1) Reproducibility grade: medium 2) Frequency rang

38、e and spectral acceleration density Frequency range: 25 to 1000 Hz Spectral acceleration density : 4.34 m2s-3at 25 Hz 0.11 m2s-3at 1000 Hz Effective total acceleration : 20 ms-2 3) Test period: The test is performed for each space direction over a time of 24h. 6.6.2. Shock (1) Test Ea to DIN 40046 :

39、 sheet 7 1) Shock acceleration : 294 m/s22) Duration of nominal shock : 14ms3) Form of shock : Half sine(saw tooth) 4) Numbers of shock each direction and main axis: 3 6.6.3. Criteria for judgment The component must operate satisfactorily during and after the stress corresponding to clause 6.6.1 and

40、 6.6.2, and the function values must be within the specified tolerance range. 6.7. Operating voltage range 6.7.1. For complete function For supply voltages between 9.0V and 15.0V the complete function must be guaranteed and the function values must be placed in the specified tolerance range. 6.7.2.

41、For restricted function For supply voltages between 6.0V and 9.0V as well as between 15.0V and 16.0V, the concerning component must fulfill definite min. requirements to be determined in detail with regard to function and operational accuracy. 6.7.3. Nominal operating voltage EDS-T-5235ELECTRONIC CO

Over

43、-voltage strength The component is loaded with a DC voltage of +24V for 60S. After this stress the full function must be guaranteed, and the function values must be within the specified tolerance range. 6.9. Pole strength The component is loaded with a DC voltage of 12V for 60S. After this stress th

44、e full function must be guaranteed, and the function values must be within the specified tolerance range. 6.10. Current consumption At disconnected ignition, electronic components in assembly may not receive any current. This requirement is not relevant to precaution in electronic control units for

45、securing definite working data in erasable error storage. In such case, the current consumption of concerning control unit may amount to max. 5 mA at disconnected ignition for the whole range of operating temp.This requirement is valid for components, in which instead of mask programmed single-chip-

46、 -computers, -processors with separate or already integrated storage such as EPROMS, E2PROMS, OPROMs etc. are firstly used in development-conditioned case, in order that the component can be used in the production. 6.11. Electromagnetic compatibility The component must be enough to the requirements

47、mentioned in the technical delivery conditions EDS-T-5515 “Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in motor vehicle“ with regard to the electromagnetic compatibility. 6.12. Vehicle - HF - interference suppression The electric/electronic component may not disturb the broadcast reception in the vehicle in

48、 LW-, MW-, KW- and UKW-range, as well as in the frequency range of mobile radio services by internally produced interfering frequency in the assembly. The interference voltage level produced by the electric/electronic component, measured to the measuring method determined in E DIN/VDE 0879, part2, 1

49、2.85 “Radio interference suppression of vehicles, of vehicle equipment and of internal combustion engines: interference suppression of built in radio receivers in road vehicles, at the vehicle antenna may not exceed the limiting values mentioned in the mentioned below table for the individual frequency range and referred to the type of disturber.
