6、1.1. Function test The lamp control unit must function in interconnection with ECU and other components of check-control-unit. The drawing shows functional values of lamp control unit (electric values and switching points). The lamp control unit must fulfill the requirements of 49a of StVZO. The cla

7、ss in which the lamp control unit is classified acc. to this paragraph must be specified in drawing. For function test of lamp control unit the lamp circuits to be controlled are broken. If more than one circuit is tested, the sequence of breaking is to be changed at repeated test. The function test

8、 is repeated 10 times. Every breaking of a controlled lamp circuit must be indicated. 1.2. Technical requirements Technical requirements are to be taken from part 1 of this test specification. 1.3. Short-circuit strength The outputs of lamp control unit for dimmed headlight, tail light and brake lig

9、ht must be protected against a short-circuit against earth. This requirement is fulfilled, if no damage of lamp control unit occurs at a current load of 1.5 Inapplied for a time duration of min 100 s at these outputs. Inmeans here the nominal value of fuse which protects the circuit to be tested in

10、vehicle cable set. 1.4. Operating life The lamp control unit shall reach a average operating life of 10 years, and/or control a vehicle kilometric power of 160,000 km. 1.4.1. Function test The oil-level sensor must function in interconnection with ECU and other components of check-control-unit. The drawing shows functional values of senso

12、rs (electric values and switching points). For function test the sensor is immersed in engine oil of a released quality. Subsequently, the oil level is lowered up to under switching point of sensor (response of warning display). This test is repeated 10 times. 1.2. Temperature resistance 1.2.1. Stor

13、ability of sensor The sensor must be storable in temperature range from -403 K to +802.5 K. Test time min 8 h. After the test the sensor must fulfill the requirements of this test specification with regard to appearance and function clause 1.1. 1.2.2. Operating temperature range At environmental tem

14、perature of -303K to +1302.5K, the sensor must be operable. Test time minimum 5 h. At environmental temperature of +1502.5 K the sensor must be operable for minimum 15 min. The parts of sensors which come into contact with engine oil must be permanently operable in temperature range from -303 K to +

15、1702.5 K (test time minimum 4 h). 1.3. Seal test The sensor must be waterproof and oilproof. For test on water protection the requirements to DIN 40050, IP-code IPX4K are valid. The sensor is tested in mounting position, mounted in original mounting opening. After the test, neither water may be pene

16、trated into internal space of engine frame, nor the functionality of sensor may be impaired. The oil proofness of sensor (proofness from inside to outside) must be guaranteed. 1.3.1. For test of proofness of sensor this is pressed for minimum 5 min with a overpressure of (505) KPa in water bath. At

17、this test the sensor must be air-tight. The seal test is performed after storability test(clause 1.2) and after test of function in operating temperature range(clause 1.2.2). 1.4. Mechanic test 1.4.1. Firmly connected electric cables Electric cables firmly connected with the sensor must resist a for

18、ce of minimum 100 N at connection point between sensor and cable. The test is performed by a tensile test on tensile testing machine with a test velocity of (10010) mm/min. Function test The sensor must function in interconnection with ECU and other components of check-control-unit. The switching function of sensor mounted in original mounting position must be guar

24、anteed up to a angular deviation of 30 from verticals. For test of switching function the fluid level is changed in reservoir at different angular positions. Original brake fluid is used as test medium. During function test performed 10 times one after the other, the reservoir stays in home position

25、. Additional impact stress on reservoir or sensor is not permissible. The drawing shows functional values of sensor (switching values) and mounting position. Independent on tests mentioned in this specification, the sensor must fulfill legal requirements of countries in which it is used For example,

33、d electric cables Electric cables firmly connected with the sensor must resist a force of minimum 100 N at connection point between sensor and cable.
