It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3172. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at correctly evaluating a

3、ntenna modules for vehicles manufactured by GMDAT. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to antenna modules (hereinafter called “modules“) used for vehicles manufactured by GMDAT. 3. DEFINITION OF TERMS 3.1. Antenna module: The antenna module means all types of amplifiers or matching devices used for the a

4、ntenna or receiver to enhance the reception capability of the antenna, and specifically refers to the active type antenna including the high frequency coaxial link line supplied together with the module. 4. TEST CONDITIONS 4.1. Standard test voltage Test voltage used for module performance and durab

5、ility test, which is specified in drawings or test specifications. Unless specified otherwise, test voltage shall be 14.00.2V. 4.2. Standard test condition Unless specified otherwise, test is conducted under the normal standard test condition specified in KS A006(Test Place Standard Condition). 4.3.

6、 Standard test signals The signal level applied from the signal generator to the module input terminal, it shall be 60fo . Unless specified otherwise, standard test signals shall be used for test. 5. NUMBER OF SAMPLES Unless specified otherwise, 13 samples shall be provided for both DVP and PVP. 6.

7、TEST EQUIPMENT 6.1. Generals Measuring instruments used for test shall basically be calibrated by the national calibration institute and within the effective calibration period. 8、O Auto & Technology 6.2. Radio Frequency Signal Generator Frequency range 10KHz to 1.6GHz, signal generation output min. +13dBm, permissible error within 0.1dB. 6.3. Network Analyzer Capable of vector analysis with frequency range 10KHz to 2.9GHz, permissible error within 1%. 6.4. Spectrum Analyzer

9、Capable of signal analysis with frequency range 10KHz to 2.9GHz, permissible error within 0.1dB. 6.5. Thermostatic chamber Capable of maintaining temperature from 40 to +90, it shall have a minimum capacity of 100 liter. It shall also be able to control relative humidity at each temperature to 95% w

10、ith permissible error not exceeding +2 per temperature. 6.6. Vibration tester It shall be capable of performing test to KS R 1034 (Automobile Components Vibration Test method). 6.7. Control device for durability test It shall be capable of automatically supply and cut-off voltage for module operatio

11、n, detect defects and record progress time and no. of cycles in durability test. 7. TEST PROCEDURES 7.1. Appearance test 7.1.1. Visual test (1) Conduct visual inspection. (2) When observed visually, the module shall show no sign of harmful flaws, cracks, or other defects that may adversely affect th

12、e performance. 7.1.2. Dimension test Specified samples based on KS B 5203 (Vernier calipers) shall be used. Samples shall meet material requirements of the deign specifications and dimensional requirements in drawings. 7.2. Performance 7.2.1. Current consumption (1) It is conducted with the standard

13、 voltage supplied. (2) Measurement shall be made separately for accessories power cables and battery power cables. (3) Unless specified otherwise, measured current consumption shall not exceed 80 v . 7.2.2. Leakage current (1) Measure at the battery cable at the standard test voltage. EDS-T-5425ANTE

(3) Unless specified otherwise in drawings, the measured current shall not exceed 2 v . 7.2.3. Voltage gain (1) At opera

15、ting voltage of 9V 16V, electric performance requirements shall be met. (2) Unless specified otherwise, measure at three test voltage, 9V, 14V and 16V. (3) Test equipment shall conform to Attachment Fig 1 but the test engineer may construct it otherwise depending on the module operating principle. T

16、he equipment thus constructed shall be recorded together with test results. (4) Input/output ratio is measured with standard test signals. The absolute value of the voltage gain, which serves as standard, can be determined by agreement between the GMDAT design engineer, test engineer and module supp

17、lier as a result of vehicle development test. (5) Unless specified otherwise in drawings, permissible deviation of the measured value for the entire frequency range of the module shall not exceed 2f . 7.2.4. Intermodulation (1) Select any three frequencies in the module frequency range. (2) Have the

18、 selected reference frequency as the 1st reference signal and have the frequency at a point where frequency separation is +1 as the second reference signal. (3) Print out the measuring band of the signal analyzer in plotting paper based on the reference frequency 5 . (4) Construct test equipment as

19、in Attachment Fig 2. Raise the level of the first signal to the point where the 3rd intermodulation composite frequency becomes 60fo . Set the output of the 2nd signal same as the 1st reference signal. (5) Depending upon circumstances, measure the 3rd intermodulation composite frequency every 10fo f

20、rom 30 to 60fo . Unless specified otherwise, at a point where the 3rd intermodulation composite frequency becomes 60fo , the 1st and 2nd signals shall exceed 113fo . 7.2.5. Automatic gain controller (1) AGC : automatic gain controller (2) Construct test equipment as in Attachment Fig 2. Conduct meas

21、urement at the input terminal by gradually raising input signals from 60fo to 127fo . (3) Represent the input/output ratio in rectangular coordinates. (4) Depending upon circumstances, test may be conducted by momentarily changing input signal values, in which case test conditions shall be recorded.

22、 The test results may be used as reference data at the discretion of the test engineer. 7.3. Temperature test 7.3.1. Temperature operation gain deviation (1) Test temperature is based on the point reaching inside the unit, which is the same as exposure of the sample to test temperature for min. 1 ho

23、ur. (2) Select any 3 frequencies in the module frequency range. Under the conditions in the following tab

24、le, measure and evaluate voltage gain at the lowest and highest operating temperature. (4) Measured values shall meet specification requirements. Unless specified otherwise, deviation of voltage gain shall not exceed 2dB. 1) Test temperature : -202 +702 2) Test time : -202 3) Test operating voltage

25、: 140.2 V 7.3.2. High temperature high humidity operation test (1) Construct test equipment as in Attachment Fig 4. (2) Under test temperature and humidity, supply power to the unit in the no-load condition (battery and ignition.) (3) After elapse of designated test time, dry the sample under normal

26、 temperature and normal humidity for 2 hours and then apply standard signals to the sample to check whether performance requirements are met. Performance shall not change from standard temperature performance by more than 20%. 1) Test temperature : +453 2) Relative humidity : 953 % 3) Test time : Te

27、st time : 96 hours 4) Test operating voltage : 110.2 V 7.4. Temperature and humidity durability 7.4.1. Supply power to the module in the no-load condition (battery and ignition). 7.4.2. Expose the sample to +85 in the horizontal condition for 5 minutes. 7.4.3. Expose the sample to -20 for 2 hours wi

28、th power cut-off. 7.4.4. Immediately expose the sample to test temperature and humidity for 5 minutes with power cut-off. 7.4.5. When power is applied after the sample is dried under normal temperature and normal humidity for 30 minutes, there shall be no heat generation or fire. (1) Test temperatur

29、e : +303 (2) Relative humidity : 805 % (3) Test operating voltage : 140.2 V 7.5. Alternating temperature operating life cycle test 7.5.1. This test is conducted with standard signals applied. 7.5.2. High temperature and low temperature are applied alternately. Change temperature in the thermostatic

30、chamber by 10 per minute. 7.5.3. The sample is operated at an alternate cycle of 10 minute ON/ 10 minute OFF. 7.5.4. After test, the initial performance requirements shall be met. 32、onducted on the vibration tester in the vehicle condition. During test, supply power to the module in the no-load condition (battery and ignition). 7.6.2. Vibrating is applied to vehicle interior parts at 3.2G(rms) according to Table. 1. Fix the sample to the vibrator in the vehicle condition. 7.6.3

33、. Vibrating time is 2 hours. During vibration, there shall occur no performance drop and rattle noise by component separation or noise by resonance. Unless specified otherwise, performance shall not change from the initial state by more than 20%. Table 1 Vibration test condition 7.7. Free fall test

This test is conducted according to ISO 7637 to check if the unit inside circuit is protected from overvoltage and reverse voltage that may occur at battery disch

36、arge. 7.8.2. At test, the unit shall be wired in the vehicle condition. For the system furnished with an inside protection circuit, a fuse (inside protection circuit) shall be inserted before the unit is operated. 7.8.3. When power to the sample is cut off by the action of the inside protection circ

37、uit (fuse), immediately replace the fuse with a new one of the same type. Electromagnetic compatibility test 7.9.1. Radiated e

39、mission This test is conducted with narrow band emission to EDS-T-5511. The measured value shall not deviate from the specified range. 7.9.2. Conducted transient emission This test is conducted to EDS-T-5010. Measurement is made at a point 150mm away from the unit. When 10 output waveforms are measu

40、red, the reference value shall not be exceeded. 7.9.3. Bulk Current Injection/ Tem Cell/ Strip-line/ Free Field This test is conducted to EC95-54(ESA) by selecting one of the above 4 items. There shall be no erroneous functions when the applied electric wave is removed (reset). 7.9.4. Magnetic Immun

41、ity This test is conducted to EDS-T-5514 in Helmholtz coil. Application starts from 60Hz/ 80uT down to 30kHz by decrement of 20dB/octave. There shall be no erroneous functions during the process. When ISO 7637 Pulses #1 to #7 are applied to the unit power according to ISO 7637-1 Class A, the display condition on the monitor is evaluated. 7.9.6. Sinusoidal Burst This test is conducted t

43、o EDS-T-5006 in a frequency range of 500kHz 50MHz. 7.9.7. Electrostatic Discharge This test is conducted to EDS-T-5005 at 4 15kV. 7.10.
