T255 Program). It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3172. 1. PURPOSE This
、standard aims at evaluating the performance of components of the parking assist system (hereinafter called “PAS”) used for automobiles. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to the test of components of PAS. 3. DEFINITION OF TERMS 3.1. PAS Abbreviation of Parking Assist System, it is a device that uses the
、 ultrasonic sensor to sense the back of the vehicle to inform the driver of the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle in the blind spots at the rear at parking. The device is composed of the sensor module, electronic control module module (hereinafter called “ECU module”) and speaker module.
、 3.2. Sensor module The sensor module receives operating signals from the ECU module, transmits ultrasonic signals and digitally processes the reception signals reflected from the obstacle to send them to the ECU module. 3.3. ECU module The ECU module receives the backing signals to activate the sen
、sor module and once the obstacle is sensed generates the warning output through the speaker module. 3.4. Speaker module The speaker module delivers the module output the driver in the form of warning or alarm sound. 3.5. Warning Warning is a sound to inform the driver of the distance between the obs
、tacle and vehicle by sound interval and consists of three different sounds: collision warning, main warning and pre warning. 3.6. Alarm Alarm consists of the sound to give warning to the driver when troubles in the system are detected after self-diagnosis and the sound to inform that the system is i
、n operation when the reverse gear is engaged first. 3.7. Reference test obstacle The reference test obstacle is a reference object to measure the sensing performance of the BPAS system. For measurement in the horizontal sensing range, cylinders with a diameter of 75mm and length of 1000mm is used. E

Control device for durability test It shall be capable of automatically supply and cut-off voltage for module operation, detect defects and record progress time and no. of cycles in durability test. 5.4.1. ECU module operat
、ion tester The module operation tester gives input signals to the ECU input terminal at test which correspond to the power supply and test function operation and senses the signals corresponding to the ECU output to permit judgment on normal operation. 5.4.2. Sensor module operation tester The senso
、r module operation tester gives off the power supply and ultrasonic operation signals necessary for sense operation and senses the ultrasonic sensor output signals to permit judgment on normal operation.
