PURPOSE The purpose of this standard is to determine the heat ageing resistance of plastic films used for the interior materials for vehicles. 2. SCOPE This standard shall be performe

3、d on plastic films and on assemblies (e.g. polyurethane foam) which contain films, to the effects of elevated temperatures. 3. TEST PIECES 3.1. Size of test pieces: The tensile test pieces (EDS-T-7132-F) shall be taken so that longitudinal direction and transverse direction may be to the right each

4、other. 3.2. Number of test pieces 3.2.1. For initial sample approval and arbitration purposes : At least 3 test pieces. 3.2.2. For routine quality control : At least 1 test pieces. 3.3. Sample of components or materials released to this specification shall be tested for conformity with the requireme

5、nts of its specification and approved by GMDAT TECHNICAL CENTER prior to commencement of delivery of bulk supplies. 4. CONDITIONING 4.1. For initial sample approval and arbitration purposes, the test pieces shall be conditioned for +232K(506)%RH24hours. For routine quality control, tests shall be ca

6、rried out in the as received condition. 5. APPARATUS 5.1. Suitable devices capable of maintaining the required temperatures within 2.5K. 5.2. Chamber, capable of maintaining the constant temperature and humidity. 5.3. Tensile testing device, capable of applying tensile stress at a given speed. 5.4.

The test sample shall be maintained at the required temperature for 5041 hours, ensuring that there is free circulation of air arou

9、nd test pieces and no contact between test pieces 7.2. After removal from the oven, the test sample shall be maintained at the temperature of +235K for at least 1 hour. 7.3. The test pieces shall be cut from the test sample. 7.4. The film shall be separated ensuring no damage occurs to the film.(sma

10、ll amounts of adherent may be permitted.) 7.5. After conditioning for +232K(5O6)%RH24hours, determine the tensile strength. 8. EXPRESSION OF RESULTS The heat ageing resistance of plastic film test pieces shall be expressed in terms of the tensile extension after heat ageing as the arithmetic average

11、 of test results or as the individual result. The direction of test pieces and the test temperature shall be also noted. 9. CODING SYSTEM On drawings, material specifications etc., the requirement for the heat ageing resistance of plastic films shall be indicated as follows. 9.1. Heat ageing resista
