3、 the Korean language shall take precedence. 1.1 Purpose. This standard is to measure pilling of woven and knitted cloth applied to car interior. 1.2 Applicability. This test is performed on woven and knitted cloth using an ICI type tester to find its pilling grade. 2 References Note: Only the latest

None 3 Resources 3.1 Equipment. 3.1.1 ICI Type Tester. Consists of cork-lined cube turning box with each side of 230 mm, w

5、here a set of special rubber tube pieces with test pieces rolled on each must be put in. 3.1.1.1 Cork to line a cube turning box is subject to the following specifications. But, the life span of lined cork is 1,500 hours. If damaged or worn down, immediately replace it with new one. 3.1.1.1.1 Thickn

But, before the first test, fix 4 pieces for a set and put it into a tu

10、rning box. Idle the box for 10 hours. Then use the pieces for a test. 3.1.1.2.1 Thickness: About 3 mm. 3.1.1.2.2 Length: About 150 mm. 3.1.1.2.3 Outer Diameter: About 31 mm. 3.1.1.2.4 Arc of both edges (R): About 4 mm. 3.1.1.2.5 Mass: (522) g. 3.1.1.2.6 Hardness: 425 (subject to Aska-C). 3.1.2 Const

11、ant temperature and humidity chamber. 3.1.3 Scissors or a cutter needed to take a test piece off. 3.2 Test Piece. 3.2.1 Size of Test Piece. Take two rectangular pieces of (100120) mm off supplied cloth lengthwise and crosswise, respectively. Note: For a test on both woven and knitted cloth, take a t

12、est piece from a tenth point of the whole width (or more than 1 m) of each side of a selected cloth piece. 3.2.2 Number of Test Pieces. 3.2.2.1 For Test Approval: 3 or more. 3.2.2.2 For Import Inspection: 1 or more. 4 Procedures 4.1 Conditions. 4.1.1 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements

13、 of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be specified on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. 4.1.2 Conditioning. Perform the conditioning on the test piece for approval according to EDS-T-7507. The piece for import inspection does not need the pretreatm

14、ent. 4.2 Instructions. 4.2.1 Take two rectangular pieces of (100120) mm lengthwise and crosswise, respectively. Be careful that tension should not be caused lengthways when sticking it to a special rubber tube piece using adhesive tape by rolling it on the tube. 4.2.2 When rolling the piece on the r

15、ube, cut off an overlap and sew up both ends with cotton thread. Cover both sides with a roll of adhesive tape film of 18 mm in width. Make them a set. Put a set into each tester turning box. Perform the test at a re

18、volution of 60 rpm for 10 hours for woven fabrics and for 5 hours for knitted fabrics. 5 Data 5.1 Result of Expression. 5.1.1 Grade the pilling of each test piece according to standard photos for criteria. Then, take each average lengthwise and crosswise, respectively. 5.1.2 Use to grade a piece of

19、woven fabrics. Use for knitted fabrics, if the pilling size is medium size or bigger. In case of small-sized pilling, use . 5.1.3 For grading test pieces, use light property of north window or its equivalent, a light source of 400 LX or higher, avoiding the direct rays of the sun. Set the light sour
