This specification covers the requ

2、irements for primer/basecoat/clearcoat aftermarket repair systems used for GM warranty work. These systems are air dried or forced air dried at 82 C (180 F) or less. They are designed to repair Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) basecoat/clearcoat (BC/CC) systems but are of different formulations

3、 and/or chemistries than typical OEM products. 1.2 Symbols. Not applicable. 1.3 Typical Applications. This specification applies to all exterior paint repair systems for use on vehicles and painted parts. 1.4 Remarks. 1.4.1 The primer, basecoat and clearcoat are two-component materials of varying ch

4、emistries. They are typically higher in volatile organic compounds (VOC) than OEM systems and must comply with local, state, and Federal emission regulations. 1.4.2 Primers, basecoats, and clearcoats approved to this specification are a system and not interchangeable. Only the specified anticorrosio
