Parts such as accelerator pedals, kick panels and ducts are typical applications. 2.0 SCOPE This specification covers the requirements for basic material properties (cell limits), molded part properties (suffixes), and quality. 3

21、0 QUALITY All parts shall maintain the same pattern, color, and finish as approved prototype parts in the Industrial Design Department, TDTC. No voids in the material, surface defects, flash, or flow patterns are permissible. No change in manufacturing process or plastic formulation shall be made wi
22、thout approval of the proper engineering authority. 6.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL 6.1 Supplier Requirements All suppliers to INTERNATIONAL Truck and Engine are required to be registered to QS-9000 Quality System Requirements. INTERNATIONAL will also accept ISO 9000 or TS-16949 registration
23、 as long as the supplier can also fulfill all AIAG PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and approval requirements. Suppliers must maintain their certification with an accredited registrar and must furnish copies of registration certificates to the INTERNATIONAL Corporate Buyer upon
24、request. 6.2 Approval Parts supplied against contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples which were approved by the purchaser. 27、on, color, or labeling of the product are required, the supplier shall notify Materials Engineering at TDTC and Purchasing and Supplier Development of the proposed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new or amended or updated Mater
28、ial Safety Data Sheet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title 29, Part 1910 shall be submitted with the request for change. 6.3 Process Control The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced or provide statistical evidence of the lot having been prod
29、uced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the plant metallurgist and/or the quality control manager of the using International plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on specific products. 7.0 SHIPPING
30、, PACKING AND IDENTIFICATION Loading, packing and identification shall be in accordance with Manufacturing Std. D-13. 8.0 DESIGNATION ON DRAWINGS The material shall be designated in the same manner as the following example: 3-4-3-0-1, C1, D2 TMS-7040 D2 - Color shall be NAV 2284 Red The five digits
31、preceding the TMS number refer to cell limits in the table. The first digit always refers to the tensile yield strength, here 18.6 MPa (2700 psi). The second digit refers to the notched Izod impact strength, here 0.07 J/mm (1.3 ftlb/in) of notch. The third digit refers to the deflection temperature
32、at 455 kPa (66 psi), here 88C (190F). The fourth digit refers to low temperature unnotched Izod impact strength, unspecified here.
