ITU-R BT.1727 1 RECOMMENDATION ITU-R BT.1727 Terrestrial and satellite delivery of programme material to large screen digital imagery venues (Question ITU-R 15/6) (2005) Scope This Recommendation indicates the video source-coding system, sound coding system and emission systems for the terrest

2、rial or satellite delivery of programme material to large screen digital imagery (LSDI) venues. The ITU Radiocommunication Assembly, considering a) that Recommendations ITU-R BT.1680 and ITU-R BT.1689 specify the image systems appropriate for the LSDI application for presentation in LSDI venues corr

3、esponding to the characteristics described in Recommendation ITU-R BT.1690; b) that Recommendation ITU-R BT.1687 Video bit-rate reduction for real-time distribution of large screen digital imagery applications for presentation in a theatrical environment, recommends, for real-time distribution of LS

4、DI programme material for presentation in a theatrical environment, the use of MPEG-2 interframe bit-rate reduction in the short term or more efficient compression codecs that may emerge in the future; c) that Recommendation ITU-R BS.1688 Baseband sound system and audio source-coding at delivery int

5、erfaces of large screen digital imagery applications, recommends the use of the AC-3 system as per Annex 2 to Recommendation ITU-R BS.1196 or the AAC system as per ISO/IEC IS 13818-7 as the audio source coding system; d) that Recommendation ITU-R BT.1306 Error-correction, data framing, modulation an

6、d emission methods for digital terrestrial television broadcasting, recommends three systems, which are already in operation, able to deliver HDTV programmes by terrestrial broadcasting. They all use multilevel modulation schemes allowing the MPEG-2 main profile/high level coded bit stream to fit in

7、to the relevant RF channel bandwidths; e) that Recommendation ITU-R BO.1516 Digital multiprogramme television systems for use by satellites operating in the 11/12 GHz frequency range, recommends four systems meeting a number of common functional requirements. All the systems can deliver, in the mult

8、iprogramme mode, a number of services ranging from SDTV to HDTV signals coded according to the MPEG-2 standard, recommends 1 that the video source coding system for the terrestrial or satellite delivery of programme material to LSDI venues should conform to Recommendation ITU-R BT.1687; 2 that the s

9、ound source coding system for the terrestrial or satellite delivery of programme material to LSDI venues should conform to Recommendation ITU-R BS.1688; 2 Rec. ITU-R BT.1727 3 that the terrestrial delivery of programme material to LSDI venues should be carried out by any suitable emission system included in Recommendation ITU-R BT.1306; 4 that the satellite delivery of programme material to LSDI venues should be carried out by any suitable emission system included in Recommendation ITU-R BO.1516.
