INTERNATIONAL STANDARD 10164-22 ITU-T RECOMMENDATION X.748 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - OPEN SYSTEMS INTERCONNECTION - SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT: RESPONSE TIME MONITORING FUNCTION Summary This Recommendation I International Standard defines a systems management function which may be used by

8、an application process in a centralized or decentralized environment to interact for the purposes of systems-management. It defines the response time monitoring function that consists of services, functional units. generic definitions and protocols. It is positioned in the OS1 application layer. Sou

9、rce The IT-T Recommendation X.748 was approved on the 26th of March 1999. The identical text is also published as ISOhEC International Standard 10164-22. ITU-T Rec. X.748 (1999 E) i FOREWORD ITU (International Telecommunication Union) is the United Nations Specialized Agency in the field of telecomm

10、uni- cations. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World

11、Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of Recommendations by the Members of the ITU-T is covered by the procedure laid do

12、wn in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation the term recognized operating agency (ROA) includes any individual, company, corporation

13、or governmental organization that operates a public correspondence service. The terms Administration, ROA and public correspondence are defined in the Constitution of the ITU (Geneva, 1992). INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS The ITU draws attention to the possibility that the practice or implementation o

14、f this Recommendation may involve the use of a claimed Intellectual Property Right. The ITU takes no position concerning the evidence, validity or applicability of claimed Intellectual Property Rights, whether asserted by ITU members or others outside of the Recommendation development process. As of

15、 the date of approval of this Recommendation, the ITU had not received notice of intellectual property, protected by patents, which may be required to implement this Recommendation. 33、 ITU-T SG7 and ISOAEC JTC l/SC 21NG 4 are jointly responsible for the development of Recommendations I International Standards that describe the architecture for OS1 management, the services, protocols and functions that are used for systems management, and the structure of management information. 34、ther groups, in ITU-T, ISOiIEC JTC l/SC 21, ISO/IEC JTC l/SC 6 and elsewhere, are responsible for the development of Recommendations I International Standards that describe the management aspects of particular layers of the OS1 Basic Reference Model; these may describe (N)-layer management protocols

36、IONAL STANDARD ITU-T RECOMMENDATION INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - OPEN SYSTEMS INTERCONNECTION - SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT: RESPONSE TIME MONITORING FUNCTION 1 Scope This Recommendation I International Standard defines a systems management function which may be used by an application process in a centralized or

37、 decentralized environment to interact for the purposes of systems-management, as defined by CCITT Rec. X.700 I ISOLEC 7498-4. This Recommendation I International Standard defines the response time monitoring function that consists of services, functional units, generic definitions and protocols. It

38、 is positioned in the application layer of ITU-T Rec. X.200 I ISOREC 7498 and is defined according to the model provided by ISOAEC 9545. The role of systems management functions are described by ITU-T Rec. X.701 I ISOLEC 10040. This Recommendation I International Standard: - - establishes user requi

39、rements for the response time monitoring function; establishes a model that relates the services and generic definitions provided by this function to user requirements; defines the services provided by the function; defines generic notification type; and specifies the protocol that is necessary in o

40、rder to provide the services. - - - This Recommendation I International Standard does not: - - - - define the nature of any implementation intended to provide the response time monitoring function; specify the manner in which managernent is accomplished by the use of the response time monitoring; de

41、fine the nature of any interactions which result in the use of the response time monitoring; specify the services necessary for the establishment, normal and abnormal release of a management association; preclude the definition of further notification types. - The functions and the management inform

42、ation defined in this Recommendation I International Standard include: - - - - - Summarization of the response time on any request of information and its management; Definition of the relationship on response monitoring; Setting and modification of the monitoring and the summarization conditions; Sc

43、heduling of the monitoring and the summarization; and Notification when response information or its statistical result is over a threshold. The functions and the management information defined in this Recommendation 1 International Standard do not include: - - - Management information definitions fo
