7、lbf) D = Outside Diameter (in) d = Inside Diameter (in) 4.2.2 Yield torque shall be determined at 0.1% offset. Using a gage length of 61.0 cm (24 in), a 0.1% offset is equal to an angular displacement of 1.375“ in the plot of torque (in-lbf) versus angular displacement (degrees). 4.2.3 Hardness Rock

The flaring test shall be performed on a conical mandrel with an included angle of 60“
9、as described in ASTM A-370, Supplement II. The test sample shall be a section 10.2 cm (4 in) long which has been cut from the tube. Ends of the sample shall be perpendicular to the tube axis, burrs shall be removed, and a sharp corner maintained. 4.2.4.1 Optional Method A test mandrel shown in Figur
10、e 1 may be substituted for the 60“ mandrel. Tubing shall not split when the I.D. is expanded to the required diameter for a minimum distance of 2.5 cm (1.0 in). 4.2.5 Dimensional Tolerances: See Table 1, page 5. 4.2.5.1 Flash Height Flash shall be limited for a distance of 31.8 mm (1.25 in) from the
