2、 APPLICATION This specification covers a door lock striker pin and conical lock washer assembly used on automotive door locks in vehicles that are covered by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard #206. 2.0 SCOPE This specification covers the requirements for material, heat treatment, finish and two
3、optional methods of construction. 5、al And Heat Treatment Pin: Washer: 1045-1065 Steel, CEMS A-O, Part I. Quench and temper to Rc 36-42. Pin: Zinc Plating, Class 5A, Navistar Specification G-20. (May be mechanically plated.) Parts must be free from hydrogen embrittlement. Washer: Mechanically plated zinc, meeting the requirements of C
6、lass 5A, CEMS G-20. Parts must be free from hydrogen embrittlement. The plating may be performed either before or after
9、assembly. In either case, the plating requirement of the pin does not apply to the threaded portion. If plated after assembly, only mechanical plating shall be allowed. REVISION: D-1 4.3.2 Option 2: Parts shall be processed separately (fabrication, heat treatment and plating) except that the washer
10、shall be threaded prior to heat treatment for installation to the pin after processing is completed. 4.4 Embrittlement Test No cracks are allowed when assemblies are tightened to the torque values listed below and held for 168 hours: Size Torque - 7/16- 14 1/2-13 67 Nem (50 lbfeft) 100 Nem (75 lbfef
11、t) 4.5 Thread And Head Recess Test No cracks are allowed when assemblies are installed in a steel plate with 4.5-5.0 full threads at the following torque values: 7/16- 14 1/2-13 Torque 67 Nem (50 lbfeft) 100 Nem (75 lbfeft) 4.6 Shipping The striker pin threads shall be lubricated by the supplier pri
12、or to shipment to International with either; grade 135 HEP, SAE 90 Viscosity oil per CEMS B-22 or equivalent oil (wet to the touch), or with an approved wax lubricant. The wax lubricant, its application method, and its dilution ratio shall not be changed without Navistar Engineering approval. 4.7 Su
13、bcontracted Operations The prime supplier is responsible for all operations performed on the product and product compliance with the requirements of this specification. Changes in either subcontractors or the scope of work performed by subcontractors may require re-qualification of the product by In
14、ternational. 5.0 OUALITY All production supplied shall be clean and free from dirt, oils, sharp edges, or defects harmful to product performance. 16、ALITY CONTROL TlTLE REVISION: Striker Pin Assembly, Door Lock D-1 6.1 Supplier Requirements Suppliers must conform to the requirements of the INTERNATIONAL IQR Standard which includes conformance to the QS-9000 (IS0 9001) Quality System Standard. A mutually acceptable Quality Control Plan as describ
17、ed therein is required for source approval to the requirements of this specification. 6.2 Approval Parts supplied against contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples which were approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or pro
18、cessing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing practices, construction, color, or labeling of the product are required, the supplier shall notify Truck Development and Technology Center and International Purchasing and Supplier Develop
19、ment of the proposed change(s). Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new or amended or updated Material Safety Data Sheet(s) (MSDS), in accordance with CFR Title 29, Part 1910 shall be submitted with the request for change. 6.3 Process Control
20、 The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced or provide statistical evidence of the lot having been produced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the plant metallu
21、rgist andor the quality control manager of the using International plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on specific products.
