、 B 117 salt fog testing without evidence of red rust. The coated parts will be free of hydrogen embrittlement. Additional requirements are shown below. 4.2.1 Accelerated Corrosion Test 4.2.1.1 Sample Preparation To condition samples for testing, a box no larger than 10” (254 mm) on any side, will be
、 filled of the way with clamps. The box will then be sealed in a manor to prevent it from coming open during conditioning. Slowly slide the box off of a 29” 30” (0.74 m 0.76 m) surface, allowing it to drop to the ground. Repeat this process 30 times, alternating the top and bottom of the box facing
、up between each drop. 4.2.1.2 Acceptance Criteria After 30 cycles of SAE J2334 cyclic corrosion testing, the sample shall be rated at an 8 or better when compared to ASTM D 610. 4.2.2 Coating/Finish Test Coated clamps shall be exposed to test fluids, including diesel fuel, engine oil, coolants, brak
、e fluids, and/or other fluids agreed upon, using a test method and test duration agreed upon between the supplier and the purchaser. After testing, there shall be no softening or other failure of the coating. 4.3 Dimensional Requirements Dimensional requirements are shown on Engineering drawings P/N
、 3523434C1 and P/N 3523435C1. 4.4 Performance Requirements Clamps supplied shall meet performance requirements described herein. Test hoses used shall meet requirements of TMS-6025. 4.4.1 Leakage Test Test shall be performed with water at ambient temperature. A 4-inch length of hose is assembled on
、test mandrels of appropriate size with the test clamp sealing one end of the hose to the mandrel. Pressure will be increased gradually until leakage is observed. Leakage pressure will not be less than 2.8 bar (41.7 psi). 4.4.2 Stress Corrosion Cracking The test clamp will be assembled on a plastic m
、andrel having a diameter 0.3 mm (0.012 inch) less than the full open diameter of the clamp and immersed in a 0.9% solution of HCL for a minimum period of 8 minutes. No cracking or breakage of the clamp is permitted. 4.4.3 Effective Clamping Force The effective clamping force will be measured using a
、 segmented load cell. The clamp is to be assembled on the segmented load cell at room temperature and the clamping forces are the average force values of a 3-segment load cell measured at 120 locations of clamp, 0 point between clamp tangs. The clamping force measured will meet the 3-segment force v

、.1 Sample Preparation The hose end shall be cleaned of any oil, dirt, and debris using isopropyl alcohol. The sample will be allowed to dry before a bead of adhesive representative of what is to be used in production will be applied to the clamp. The clamp will then be fixed to the hose with a norma
、l force not exceeding 5 N for a period of 30 60 seconds. The samples will then be allowed to cure overnight before testing. 4.4.5.2 Test Method The sample will be fixed in a tensile testing frame with the hose attached to one end and the clamp attached to the other. The sample will then be pulled at
、 a rate of 1 in/min (25.4 mm/min) to failure. The peak load and failure mode will be recorded. 4.4.5.3 Acceptance Criteria The peak load recorded will exceed 35 lbs (156 N) of force and the failure mode should consist of cohesive failure of the adhesive. There should be no signs of the clamp coating
