5、nts, identification, and certification. The requirements of SAE J1149 (Metallic Air Brake System Tubing and Pipe), Type 1, tubing shall apply unless otherwise specified. 2.1 Restricted Chemical SubstancesEffective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements of this specification must c

Expand tubing over a polished mandrel with 60 included angle until average O.D. has been increased 40%. 4.7.1.2 Required: No splits or flaws. 4.7.2 Pressure Proof Test 4.7.2.1.Test Procedure: Test tubing at hydrostatic pressure equivalent to a yield (hoop) stress of 62 MPa (9000 psi

NOTE: An electric eddy current test may be substituted for the pressure proof test providing the rejection limits are such that the hydrostatic requirements can be guaranteed. 19、 2 MPa (300 psi) air pressure. The multiple of the tubing shall be specified by the Purchasing Department of the using plant. Normally, the tubing shall be furnished in either 4.5 m (15 ft) random lengths or as 15 m (50 ft) coils tubing shall be purchased by length (meters or feet). NOTE: An electri
20、c eddy current test may be substituted for the air pressure test providing the rejection limits are such that the hydrostatic and air pressure requirements can be guaranteed. 4.7.3. ired2 Requ : No leakage at the test pressure. 5.0 QUALITY All product supplied shall be clean and free from dirt, debr
21、is, oils, etc., on both the internal and external tubing surfaces. Tubing will not exhibit sharp edges, cracks, or or other defects harmful to product performance. 5.1 Certification Product supplied to TMS-3100 will be regularly tested and inspected by the supplier to verify conformance to TMS-3100
22、requirements. Certification of compliance to TMS-3100 will be kept on file by the supplier indefinitely, and provided to International Truck and Engine when requested. 6.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL6.1 Supplier RequirementsAll suppliers to International Truck and Engine are required to be r
23、egistered to ISO 9001 Quality System Requirements. International will also accept TS-16949 registration as long as the supplier can also fulfill all AIAG PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and approval requirements. Suppliers must maintain their certification with an accredited re
24、gistrar and must furnish copies of registration certificates to their International Corporate Buyer upon request. 6.2 ApprovalParts supplied against contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be equivalent in all respects to those samples which were approved by the purchaser. No ch
25、anges in formulation or processing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing practices, construction, color, or labeling of the product are required, the supplier shall notify Truck Development and Technology Center and International Purc
26、hasing and Supplier Development of the proposed change(s). 28、e 29, Part 1910 shall be submitted with the request for change. 6.3 Process ControlThe supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced using ISO 9001 or TS-16949 guidelines, or provide statistical evidence of the lot having been produced in a state of sta
29、tistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the plant metallurgist and/or the quality control manager of the using International plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on specific products. 7.0 SHIPPING, PACKING AND IDENTIFI
30、CATION Shipping and packing shall be in accordance with Manufacturing Standard D-13 7.1 Identification Tubing shall be permanently and legibly marked longitudinally at intervals not greater than 38 cm (15 in). Die rolled letters and numbers shall not be depressed into the tubing wall to a depth exce
31、eding 0.08 mm (0.003 in). Symbols shall be at least 1.6 mm (0.06 in) high.
