3、50A(SH) which is cancelled. Abstract. This Commercial Item Description covers requirements for a hand held electronic megaphone, which is rugged, lightweight, portable, and amplifies audio frequencies for transmitting intelligible speech over distances in excess of 200 meters through high ambient no
4、ise levels (85 db). This description covers commercial off-the-shelf megaphone equipment with minor modifications essential to adapt equipment for Military use. Salient characteristics. 1, Integral Components. The megaphone shall consist of a microphone and housing, loudspeaker assembly, gain contro
5、l, amplifier, battery compartment and operating handle. In addition the megaphone may include one or more of the following options: hand held microphone, spotlight, siren, whistle, auxiliary vehicle power adapter, or shoulder strap. 2. Enclosure. All megaphones shall be moisture and splash proof as

All parts shall be of suitable corrosion resistance material or materials trea
8、ted in a satisfactory manor to render them adequately resistant to corrosion caused by sea water. 3. Weight and size. The maximum weight of the megaphone includeing the battery compartment shall be 1.5 kilograms without batteries, the maximum length shall not exceed 350 millimeters and the maximum h
9、orn diameter shall not exceed 200 millimeters. 4. Microphone. The microphone shall be an anti-howling, 600 ohm, 1 millivolt, dynamic type microphone mounted in the main body of the megaphone. 5. Horn assembly. The horn assembly shall consist of a horn unit, voice coil, diaphragm assembly and annular
10、 plug (if required). 6. Power Output. Megaphones shall operate at a rated output power of at least 10 watts or greater when measured with a 1000 Hertz, 1 millivolt input signal. 7. Power consumption. Megaphone power consumption shall be in accrordance with the guidance listed below. 8. Power Sources
11、. Megaphones shall be powered from dry cell batteries. 9. Equipment Operating Time. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, stan

The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 2, Regulatory requirements. The offerer/contractor is encouraged to use reco
14、vered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable. 3. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking.
