SCOPE1.1 Scope. This specificatio

2、ncovers the requirementsfor SIX types andtwo classesof electrolyticallyformed anodic coatingson aluminum andaluminumalloys for non-architecturalapplications(see 6.1).1.2 Classification. The anodic coating Typesand Classes covered by thisspecificationare as specified herein (see 6.2 and 6.21):1.2.1 T

In the event of a conflictbetween the text ofthis document and the references cited herein, t

16、he text of this document takesprecedence. Nothing In this document, however, supersedesapplicable laws andregulatonsunless a speclflc exemption has been obtained.3. REQUIREMENTS3. Materials. The materials used shall be such as to produce coatingswhich meet the requirementsof this specification.3.1.1

17、 Base metal. The base metal shall be free from surface defects,causedby machining, cutting, scratching, polishlng,buffing, roughening,bending,stretching,deforming, rolling, sandblasting,vaporblastlng,etching,heat treatmentcondltlon,alloy chemtstry Imbalanceand inclusions,that willcause coated test p

18、anels or parts to fafl any of the requirementsof thisspecification. The base metal shall be subjectedto cleaning, etching,anodlzlngand seallng procedures as necessary to yteld coatings meeting allrequirementsof th!s specification.3.2 Equipmentand processes. The equipment and processes employed shall

19、be such as to produce coatings which meet the requirementsof thsspecification.-Unless otherwise specified In the contract,purchaseorder orapplicabledrawfng (see 6.2), process operating conditions shall be at theoption of the supplfer.3.3 General.3.3.1 Anodlztngof parts and assemblies.3.3.1.1 Anodlzl
