In the event of a conflict beween the text of this specification and the references cited herein, the text of this specification shall tala prece
17、dence. Nothing in this specifiction, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption Ras been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First Article. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or order (see 82.1), first article samples of the catapult assemblies are require
18、d and shall be manufactured using the methods and procedures proposed for production. The samples shall be tested as specified in section 4 for the purpose of determining, prior to starting production, that the contractors production methods are capable of praducing catapult assemblies that comply w
19、ith the technical requirements of the contract (see 4.4). 3.1.1 Pressure transduce=. All first article samples catapult assemblies shall be adapted for pressure transducers as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2.1 and 65). 3.1.2 Propellant aging. Propellant samples shall be prepared and test
20、ed in accordance with the requirements of 4.4.3. Tests will be performed in accordance with MIL-P-82663. Failure of the propellant to meet the requirements of MIL-P-82663 will be cause for rejection of the batch. 3.2 Materials. All materials, parts, and assemblies shall be in accordance with the DL
21、5184322, this specification, and the documents referenced herein. 3.2.1 Primary Components. Only primary Components from a single primary component lot shall be used in a production lot of loaded rocket catapults. 3.2.2 Propellant. The propellant shall be in accordance with Mli-P-82663. 3.3 Age. 3.3
22、.1 Explosive components. All primeffi shall have been manufactured and certified within 24 months or recertified within 12 months of the assembly date of the catapult assembly lot. All other explosive components including but not limited to igniteffi, shall have been manufactured or recertified with
23、in 12 months of the assembly date for the rocket catapult assembly lot. - 3.3.2 Propellant. The propellant shall be manufactured within the 150 days prior to the assembly date for the rocket catapult assembly lot. 3.4 Performance and product characteristics. The rocket catapults shall meet the follo
24、wing performance and product characteristics when test fired at -65, +70, and +165 OF using an ejected weight of 375 pounds. 3-4.1 Ballistic. All radiographs of accepted lots of rocket catapults are to be retained on file by the contractor
