1、MIL- G- 17489B(SHIP6) AMENDMENT - 1 21 September 1961 MILITARY SPECIFICATION GAGES, PRESSURE (AIR), BOILER This amendment forms a part of Military Specification MIL-G-l7489B(SHIPS), 15 March 1961. Page 2, paragraph 3.7: Delete. Page 2, paragraph 3.9, line 6: Delete “links of” and substitute 4clinks

Page 3, paragraph 3.14.3: Delete and substitute: “3.14.3 Accuracy. - Type A pressure gages shall be of such design and construction as to insure maintenance of accuracy to within plus or minus 2/10 inches of water for the 90 degree portion of the scale range, and for the remainder of the scale

3、range, within plus or minus 2 percent of the top scale value (see 4.5.3). ” Page 3, paragraph 3.15.1: Delete and substitute: “3.15.1 Pressure gage scales. - Scales shall be as sliown on figure 4 in respect to character and design except for ranges and number of units. Pressure gages shall be accurat

4、ely and correctly graduated up to and including the last division of the scale. Scales shall be secured to the pressure gage mechanisms by at least 4 screws. The scales shall be of materials as specified in 3.11. The scales shall be graduated to read the pressure effective on the diaphragm in inches

5、 of water above atmosphere (barometric) unless other graduations are specified in the contract or order. The height of figures on the scale shall be 1/2 inch, As a minimum, scales with a range of up to and including 10 inches of water shall have numerals at each imh of water, 10 graduations per inch

6、. The 1 inch, 1/2 inch and 1/10 inch graduations shal be easily distinguished from each other. As a minimum, scales with limiting range between 10 and 15 inches of water shall have numerals every 2 inches of water, graduations every 2/10 inches. As a minimum, scales with a range tip to and including

7、 60 inches shall have numerals every 5 inches of water, graduations every 1/2 inch. Scales with a range above 100 inches of water shall be marked with sufficient graduations for good and accurate readability, with maximum spachg of numerals at 15 inch intervals, maximum spaci

Minimum size of scale shall be 2 inches wide by 10 inches vertical length, except that for gages intended for control panel installation, scales may be a minimum of 2 inches wide by 6 inches vertical length. ” Page 3, paragraph 3.15.3: Delete and substitute: “3.15.3
