REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. 3.2 General. 3.2.1 Transceiver description and operation. When specified (see 6.2), the contractor shall furnish

11、sample unit(s) for first article inspection and approval (see 4.3 and 6.3). The transceiver shall be a two-channel micro- miniature solid state hand-held radio set which will provide radio distress signals for search and rescue (SAR). continuous wave (MCW comnunications on two fixed tuned crystal-co

12、ntrolled radio frequency (RF) channels. One RF chinnel shall be tuned to 121.500 megahertz (MHz) and the other channel shall be tuned to 243.000 MHz. 3.2.2 Frequency characteristics. The transceiver shall provide voice, beacon, and modulated 3.2.3 Modes of operation. Voice. modulated voice communica

13、tions on either 121.5 or 243.0 MHz (RF frequency select- able by switch). Beacon. The audio output level shall be adjustable to a minimum of 100 mW. Audio distortion at 100 mW shall be less than 10 percent.

18、 3.3.3.4 Audio frequency response. The audio frequency response shall not vary more than +2 dB or -5 dB from the reference audio level at 1000 Hz over the frequency range from 300 to 3000 Hz. 3.3.3.5 Residual hum and noise. The ratio of residual hum and noise to rated audio output (100 mW) shall be

19、greater than 30 dB. 3.3.3.6 Squelch. A squelch circuit shall be provided. The receiver squelch shall be non- adjustable withthequelch circuit designed to unsquelch with an RF input signal of less than 4 ?-IV, 3.3.3.7 Automatic gain control. for signal input levels from 6 UV to 100 mv with a constant

The battery (one unit) shall have the capacity, at 25OC, to provide a minimum of 24 h ours of continuous operation in the following modes of operation: a. Beacon b. Voice: 50 percent transmit and 50 percent recei

28、ve duty cycle at 90 percent modulation and 100 mW receive audio for a one-minute period. At -1OOC the operating life of the battery shall provide a minimum of 16 hours of operation. battery shall be judged acceptable if the RF power output does not degrade more than 3 dB and the receiver sensitivity

32、OVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. All workmanship shall be in accordance with Requirement 9 of MIL-STD-454. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the con- tractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in t

33、he contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government; The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspec- tions set forth in the specification where such insp

34、ections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. All quality assurance operations performed by the contractor will be subject to Government verification at any time. limited to, a) Surveillance of the operations to determine that practices, methods, an

35、d procedures of the written quality program are being properly applied, b) Government product inspection to measure quality of the product to be offered for acceptance, c) Government inspection of delivered products to assure compliance with all inspection requirements of this specification. Failure

36、 of the contractor to promptly correct deficiencies discovered by him or of which he is notified shall be cause for suspension of acceptance until corrective action has been taken or until conformance of the product to prescribed criteria has been demonstrated. 4.1.1 Government verification. Verific

37、ation will consist of, but is not 4.1.2 Quality assurance terms and definitions. Production inspection shall consist of the tests specified in 4.4.1.1. This inspection shall comprise such examination and testing as wil

46、 MIL-R-28713A( EC) 4.4.1.2 Equipment conditioning. 4.4.2 Production control inspection. Equipment conditioning shall be as specified in 4.4.3. This inspection shall include the tests specified in 4.4.2.3, 4.4.2.4, and 4.4.2.5. levels of MIL-STD-105. inspection utilizing an acceptable quality level (

47、AQL) of 6.5 percent. Production control in- spection shall be performed on inspection lots that have passed-production inspection (see 4.4.1). The equipment shall conform to the requirements of production control inspection prior to release for shipment. 4.4.2.1 Noncompliance. If a sample unit fails

48、 production control inspections, the contrac- tor shall imnediately investigate the cause of failure and shall report to the Government inspector the results thereof and details of the corrective action taken on the process and all units of products which were manufactured with the same conditions,

49、materials, and processes. Government inspector does not consider that the corrective action will enable the product to con- form to specified requirements, or if the contractor cannot determine the cause of failure, the matter shall be referred to the contracting officer. which have been subjected to and passed production control inspections, may be accepted on con- tract provided that they are resubjected to and pass productibn inspection after repair of all damage.
