This specification establishes the design, performance, and acceptance requirements for the AN/DSM-l39C Guided Weapon Test Set, herein after referred to as the test set. The test set is for flightline use t

Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First Art

13、icle. When specified in the contract or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.4 and 6.3). 3.2 Parts and materials. The parts and materials specified in the drawings and related documents for use in the construction of this test set were selected to ensure the

14、 fulfillment of all the requirements of this specification. 3.2.1 Nonstandard parts and material approval. Approval for the use of nonstandard parts and materials shall be obtained by the contractor as specified in MIL-STD-965, Procedure I. 3 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networkin

Parts and materials selected for use in the test set shall be as specified in MIL -T-28800. Parts shall be selected from those conforming to MIL-E-5400, un1 ess the parts 1 i ste

16、d therein wi 11 not perform adequately in the intended applications and environments specified herein, 3,2.2.1 Interchangeability. All parts and materials shall meet the inter- changeability requirements as specified in MIL-T-28800. The drawings conforming to DL 1098AS1000 shall be the standard for

17、measuring interchange- ability of all appl icable units, assembl Ses, subassemblies and parts. 3.3 Design and construction. The test set shall be manufactured in accordance with e the drawings and subsidiary specifications conforming to DL 1098AS1000, except that errors of mission or comnission on t

18、he drawings may be incompatible with the requirements of this specification. acceptance that the test set manufactured shall meet all the design, construction, and workmanship requirements of this specification. In any case, it is a condition of final 3.3.1 Reliability. 3.3.1.1 Operational stability

19、. The test set shall operate as required continuously or intermittently, for not less than 100 hours. During this time, it shall not be necessary to readjust any controls that are inaccessible to the operator during normal use. The test set battery shall be capable of being recharged. 3.3.1.2 Reliab

20、ility in mean-time-between-failures (MTBF). The test set shall have a specified mean (operating) time between failures of 100 hours when tested in accordance with 4,5.3. 3A2 Standard conditions, The following conditions shall be used to establish the e normal Derformance characteristics under standa

The test set shall meet the storage and operating test requirements of this specification under any environmental service condition or combination of con

24、AS200 to between -40 and +55“C unless the batteries are removed and stored seperately. Storage temperatures of the test set are limited by 3.3.2.1.2 Temperature. The test set, with battery pack (PN 178AS200) installed, shall meet all operating test requirements of this specification when tested at t

25、he limited temperatures of -40 to 55C under the following conditions: a. The test set, less battery pack (PN 178AS200), shall be stabilized at required test temperature. Battery pack (PN 178AS200) shall be charged standard conditions. Battery pack (PN 178AS200) shall be placed after charging and the

The test set shall contain the major assemblies as specified in 3.5,mugh 3.5.3.4. 3.6.3.1 Electronics assembly (1098AS1300) . The electronics assembly shall contain tie subassemblies specified in 3.5

30、.3.1.1. 3.5.3.1.1 Chassis assembly (1098AS1302) . The chassis assembly shall contain the printed ci rcui t boards , subcarrier osci 11 ators, vol tage control 1 ed oscillators, RF detector, battery pack, control switches, indicator lamps and associated cables. 3.5.3 . 1 . 2 Case assembly ( 1098AS340

32、99Ob 0257933 T m MIL-T-85396A( AS) 3.5.3.1.3 Plain shroud assembly (887AS400). The plain shroud assembly shall contain a housing, radome, RF absorber and antenna hood. 3.5.3.3 EMCON shroud assembl i es (887AS500 and 1098AS500). The EMCON shroud assembly shall contain a housing, radome, RF absorber,

33、antenna hood, retainer strap assembly, and RFI seal subassembly which shall consist of RFI fingerstock and retainer, a .hinged door and a door operating mechanism. EMCON shroud 1098AS500 has a removable cover, which can be used in place of the test set to allow use of shroud without test set, instea

34、d of a hinged door and a door operating mechanism. 3.5.3.4 Transit case (1098AS1200). The transit case shall consist of the case assembly and cushioning material. 3.5.4 Controls. Two pushbutton control switches shall be located on the front pmhe “WPN TEST“ pushbutton, when depressed shall enable the

35、 command, battery self test, and RF detection subsystems. The “SELF TEST“ pushbutton, when depressed, shall enable the command and battery self test subsystems and shall apply a sweep voltage to activate the RF detector circuit. When both pushbuttons are depressed, the battery self test subsystem sh

36、all be enabled and the RF detection sensitivity shall be increased to provide an AN/AWW-7B pod radiation test capability. A six position rotary switch as specified in 3.4.1.5 shall be used to select either Phase I or Phase II function and a two digit pushbutton switch marked “CODE“ shall be used to

37、set the recognition code when in the Phase II mode. 3.5.5 Material. Materials shall be in accordance with DL 1098AS1000. 3.5,6 Workmanshi . Workmanship shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-454, Requi remen + 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified

38、 in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspec

39、tion requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification, where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1 1 Responsi

40、 bi 1 i ty for compl iance. Al 1 i tems must meet al 1 requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not re1 i

The inspection requiremtns specified herein are classified as follows: a. First article inspection

43、(see 4.4). be Quality conformance inspection (see 4.4.4). 4.3 Inspection conditions. Unless otherwise specifed herein, all inspections shall be performed in accordance with the test conditions specified in 3.3.4 and 3,3.5, 4.4 First article inspection. First article tests shall be made on a test set

44、 representative of the production test sets to be supplied under the contract. First article test performance shall be the responsibility of the contractor and shall be performed in accordance with approved test procedures (see6.2.2) No first article inspections shall be conducted prior to acceptanc

45、e of the first article test procedure by the contracting officer. 3*5,1.2 with environmental requirement stated in 4.9 and 3.3.5. 4.4J Scope of first article tests. First article tests shall include all tests deemed necessary by the procuring activity to determine that the test set meets all the req

46、uirements of this specification and the contract. These shall include environmental and interference tests in accordance with MIL-T-5422 as specified in MIL-T-28800. Test methods shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-810 except as modified by this specification. 4.4.2 First article approval. Approval

47、of the first article will be by the procuring activity upon satisfactory completion of all tests (see 6.2.2) . 4.4.3 Production equipments. Test sets supplied under the contract shall be, in all respects including design, construction, workmanship, performance and quality, equal to the approved firs

48、t article sample. Each test set shall be capable of successfully completing the same tests as imposed on the first article sample. 4.4,4 Quality conformance tests. The contractor shall furnish all samples and shall be responsible for accomplishing the quality conformance tests specified below. All i

49、nspection and testing shall be to the approved quality conformance test procedures under the supervi sion of the Government inspector First article inspection performance requirements are those stated in a a.
