This information is intended for guidance only. Users must consult the actual Public La
3、w or Government regulation in order to determine the applicability of a specification or standard, and if a waiver process exists to exempt mandatory use of a specification or standard. For this document, a specification or standard is defined as any document developed or adopted under the Defense S
4、tandardization Program (DSP) as described in DoD 4120.24-M, “Defense Standardization Program Policies and Procedures” and includes non-Government standards, defense specifications and standards, federal specifications and standards, commercial item descriptions, data item descriptions, and internati
5、onal standardization agreements. A major body of mandated documents not included in this listing because of the frequency of changes and the volume of documents are those specifications and standards in the DoD Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR). Users are advised to consult the DISR d

This guide is organized first into sections of specifications and standards mandated for use DoD-wide, then Army-wide, Navy-wide, Air Force-wide, and lastly by policy documents issued jointly by the Services and the Defense Logistics Agency.
