SCOPE1.1 FormThis specification covers one width and one breaking strength of low modulus aramid tubular webbing.1.2 ApplicationSee AMS3799.1.3 Classification9/16 inch (14 mm) wide low modulus aramid tubular

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS3.1 Basic SpecificationThe complete requirements for procuring the tubular webbing described herein shall consist of this document and the latest issue of the basic specification, AMS3799.3.2 Construction and Properties3.2.1 YarnYarn used in weaving th

10、e webbing shall be low modulus aramid with a carbonization (char) temperature not lower than 671 F (355 C).3.2.1.1 Denier and Filament CountThe yarn shall be 200 denier 15 and shall consist of 100 filaments 10.3.2.1.2 PlyThe yarn shall be four ply.3.2.1.3 TwistThe final ply of yarn shall be twisted

11、2.5 to 2.8 turns per inch (25.4 mm).3.2.2 Webbing3.2.2.1 WeaveShall be tubular, plain, one up and one down.3.2.2.2 ColorShall be FED-STD-595 Sage Green 1565. The color shall be obtained by use of melt spun solution dyed yarn.3.2.2.3 WidthShall be 0.56 inch 0.06 (14.2 mm 1.5).3.2.2.4 ThicknessShall n

12、ot exceed 0.08 inch (2.0 mm).3.2.2.5 WeightShall not exceed 0.65 ounce per linear yard (20.2 g/m).3.2.2.6 Breaking StrengthShall be not less than 1400 pounds force (6228 N) unaged and not less than 85% of the unaged strength after aging.SAE AMS3799/1C Page 3 of 33.2.2.7 Ultimate ElongationShall be n

13、ot less than 12.0%.3.2.2.8 Thread CountWarp ends shall be not less than 177. Filling picks shall be not less than 24 per inch (25.4 mm).3.3 Length of Put-upWebbing shall be furnished in rolls containing 425 yards 10 (389 m 9).
