6、OPE 1.1 Form This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of plate 0.500 to 2.250 inch (12.70 to 57.15 mm) in nominal thickness (see 8.5). 1.2 Application This plate has been used typically for aerospace structural parts requiring strength similar to that of 7475-T7351 but having 4% lower
7、 nominal density, but usage is not limited to such applications. 22、RNATIONAL $06$ Page 4 of 5 3.3.2.2 Stress-Corrosion Resistance Specimens machined and tested in accordance with ASTM G47 from plate 0.750 inch (19.05 mm) and over in nominal thickness, shall show no evidence of stress-corrosion cracking when stressed in the short- transverse direction at 45.0 ksi (3
23、10 MPa) for 30 days. 3.3.3 Mechanical property requirements for product outside of the range covered by Tables 2 and 3 shall be agreed upon between purchaser and producer. 3.4 Quality The product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign mater
24、ials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.4.1 Each plate shall be ultrasonically inspected in accordance with ASTM B594 and shall meet ultrasonic Class B requirements. 3.5 Tolerance Shall conform to all applicable requirements of ANSI H35.2 or ANSI H35.2M. 4 QUALITY ASSURANC
25、E PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The producer of plate shall supply all samples for producerVWHVWVDQGVKDOOEHUHVSRQVLEOHIRUWKHSHUIRUPDQFHRIDOOrequired tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the plate conforms
26、 to the specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acceptance Tests Composition (3.1), tensile properties in as-shipped T34 temper (3.3.1.1), tensile properties after precipitation heat treatment to T82 (3.3.2.1), stress-corrosion resistance in T82 temper (3.3.2.2), ultrasonic soundne
27、ss (3.4.1), and dimensional tolerances (3.5) are acceptance tests and, except for composition, shall be performed on each lot. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 4.4 Reports The producer of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the plate confor
28、ms to the chemical composition, tolerances and ultrasonic inspection, showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number(s), AMS4472A, size, and q
29、uantity. The report shall also identify the producer, the product form, and the size of the mill product. 4.4.1 When the product is outside the range covered by 1.1, the report shall contain a statement to that effect. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 30、AL $06$ Page 5 of 5 5 PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with ASTM B666/B666M. 5.2 Packaging 5.2.1 Plate shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging
31、, and transportation of the plate to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 5.2.2 Packaging shall be in accordance with ASTM B660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and saf
