ESSENTIAL PROJECT SPECIFICATION CLAUSES Set out suitable clauses in Portion 2 of the project specification to provide essential information, as follows: a) (Subclause 3.2.l(b) State the grading boundaries and size limits for the material in each zone. See a
7、lso 2. l (h) (l) below. b) !Subclause 3.2.2(d) State the grading boundaries and size limits for the material in filters. C) (Subclause 3.2.3) State the mass and sizes of rockfill. d) (Subclause 5.2.1.l(b) Give clearing details if the structures to be cleared are too big to be removed by the plant sp
8、ecified in Subclause 5.2.1.l(b) of SABS 1200 DE. (See also Subclauses 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 of Section DE of Part 3 of the code.) ESSENTIAL DATA The availability of certain essential data may affect the prices tendered. Except where such data have been given in the schedule or on the tender drawinqs, set
9、out suitable clauses covering items such as the following in Portion 2 of the project specification: a) (Subclause 5.2.1.3) Where topsoil is not to be dealt with as stated but is to be conserved, set out details of its disposal. b) (Subclause 5.2.1.4) Where clearing the dam basin is to be scheduled,
10、 state the extent of such clearing including reference to suitable drawings, and indicate the stage in the programme when the clearing must be done. C) (Subclauses 5.2.2.2(b) and 5.2.3.2(d) State the precautionary measures reyuired where dispersive soils are present. d) (Subclause 5.2.2.3) Designate
11、 borrow pit areas and, for borrow pits below full supply level of the dam, state the destination of stockpiled topsoil if it is not to be used on the embankment. e) (Subclauses 5.2.2.4 and 8.1.3) Designate disposal areas for surplus and unsuitable material. f) (Subclauses 5.2.3.1 and 6.1) State the
12、allowance to be made for settlement. g) (Subclause 5.2.3.2(c) State what precautionary measures are to be taken if construction of the embankment at different levels as the work progresses, is feasible and is likely to be economical. h) (Subclause 5.2.3.2(d) 1) Specify the required Proctor density f
13、or each zone of the embankment. 2) Where dispersive soils are present, state what precautionary measures are to be taken, in addition to increasing compaction to at least 98 % Proctor density. Where it is necessary to amplify or otherwise to vary the terms of SABS 1200 DE to render them suitable for use in projects to be carried out in particular locations or under particular circumstances, include in Por
18、tion 2 of the project specification clauses dealing with matters other than those covered by Clauses 1 and 2 above. (See also Subclause 1.3 of Section DE of Part 3 of the code.) Where the tolerances rcquired on moisture content are different from those specified
20、, set out the details. 3.2.2 Trial Embankment (Subclause 7.4). See Subclause 1.1.2 of Section DE of Part 3 of the code. 3.3 LABOUR-BASED PROJECTS. Until a suitablc standardized specification has been published, state which clauses of SAHS 1200 DE will not be applicable to the contract, and insert appropriate alternative clauses to cover the requirements in a manner more suited to a labour-based mcihod of construction.
