6、 given at the beginning or after the heading of a clause is/are, unless otherwise stated, the number(s) of the relevant clause(s) of SABS 1200 LG. ESSENTIAL PROJECT SPECIFICATION CLAUSES Set out suitable clauses in Portion 2 of the project specification to provide essential information as follows :

7、a) (Subclause 5.1.1) Set out details of arrangements made with the controliing authority (see 3.2.1 and 3.2.2 below). b) (Subclause 5.6) 1) Where not given on the drawings, specify the extent and density of backfilling required. 2) Designate a disposal area for excavated material. c) (Subclauses 8.2

8、.4 and 8.2.5) Except where adequate data have been given in PS3 (Nature of ground and subsoil conditions) of Portion 1 of the project spccification, give a description of the materials through which the pipeline is to be jacked (see Subclause 1.1.2 of Section LG of Part 3 of the code). ESSENTIAL DAT

9、A The availability of certain essential data may affect the prices tendered. Except where such data have been given in the schedule or in the tender drawings, set out suitable clauses covering items such as the followirig in Portion 2 of the project specification: a) (Subclauses 5.1.3 and 5.8) State

10、 whether the contractor is to provide designs, etc. (See also (b) below. ) b) (Subclause 5.4.2) State whether provision must be made to deal with vibration arising from road or rail traffic or other sources. C) (Subclauses 6.1 and 6.2) State thc tolerances that wiil apply if other than those specifi

In addition to a wayleave being arranged for any pipeline that is to pass across property .- - - owned by others, special authority-must be obtained for the jacking of the pipeline because of the need to investigate subsurface conditions, to locate other services buried in the area, a

Subclause 5.2.3.2 of SABS 1200 LG sets out the requirements of the Department of Transport, and may be used as a guide for pipe lacking under other facilities. In cases such as cross-country oil pipe2.ines where a sleeve diameter may bc: only l00 nun more than the pipe diameter, specify tolerances in a project specification clause based on the rccommendtions given in Subclauses 2.5.3 and 2.5.4 of Section LC of Part 3 of the code.
