For the purposes of this part of the code, contract administration starts with instructions to the contractor to commence work as set out in Clause 4 of Section 0. The engineer should, when applicable, ensure that agreement has been reached and approval given on all details of working drawings for fabrication and erection by a date that is early enough to avoid delays in the supply of materials and in commencing the work. 8、Subclause 3.2.1 of Section H.) 3. DURING CONSTRUCTION 3.1 METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION 3.1.1 Rivets and Bolts (Subclause 3.5). Bolts commonly known as huckbolts comply with the applicable requirements of Subclause 3.5 of SABS 1200 HE. 3.2 ADMINISTRATION 3.2.1 Contractor Provides Shop Details (Subclause 5

Shop details should be submitted by the contractor in good time to allow an agreed or specified period for scrutiny and approval by the engineer, and no work should be put in hand before the engineers approval has been obtained. In general, if the engineer takes lonqer than one month (or the pe
10、riod agreed between the engineer and the contractor or stated in the project specification) to give his approval of properly prepared details, the contractor could claim that he has been unreasonably delayed.
