7、-3:1982 (edition 1). Preface This part of the specification has been prepared under the direction of the SABS Clothing Committee. It is, in technical content, identical to ISO 3638. The specification is one of a series which deals essentially with the size designation of clothes, and is not directly

8、 concerned with sizing systems as such. The primary aim of this specification is, as in the other specifications in the series, to establish a size designation system that is based on body measurements, and that indicates (in a simple, direct, and meaningful manner) the body size of the infant that

9、a garment is intended to fit. Provided that the infants height has been accurately determined, this system will facilitate the choice of garments that fit. Choice of garment measurements is normally left to the designer and the manufacturers, who are concerned with the style, cut, and other fashion

10、elements, and who must make due allowance for garments normally worn beneath a specific outer garment or accessory.
