、Foreword (This foreword is not part of this bulletin.) This document has been created in response to a request by the APCO/NASTD/FED Project 25 Steering Committee as provided for in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated April 1992 and amended December 1993. That MOU states APCO/NASTD/FED shall d

、evise a common system standard for digital public safety communications (the Standard) commonly referred to as Project 25 or P25, and that TIA, as agreed to by the membership of the appropriate TIA Engineering Committee, will provide technical assistance in the development of documentation for the S

、tandard. If the symbol “P25” or the wording “Project 25” appears on the cover sheet of this document when published that indicates the APCO/NASTD/FED Project 25 Steering Committee has adopted this document as part of the Standard. The appearance of the abbreviation “P25” or the wording “Project 25”

、on the cover sheet of this document or in the title of any TIA document referenced herein should not be interpreted as limiting the applicability of the information contained in this document to “P25” or “Project 25” implementations exclusively. This document has been developed with inputs from the

、APCO/TIA Project 25 Interface Committee (APIC), the APIC TDMA Task Group (TDMA TG), and the members of TR-8. This document describes a subset of tests appropriate for consideration for use in a compliance assessment testing environment associated with Two Slot TDMA Trunking Air Interface. As other d

、ocuments associated with compliance assessment are developed, this document will be subject to change. Standardized Transceiver Performance tests, TDMA Trunking Voice Channel Conformance tests and TDMA Trunking Voice Channel Interoperability tests are identified here and can be found in the referenc

、 CONFORMANCE PROFILE TESTS 4 TSB-102.CBBL-A 1 1 Introduction The purpose of this Telecommunications Systems Bulletin is to identify the subset of tests that the subject matter expert members of TIA TR-8.25 have determined to be appropriate for use in a compliance assessment testing environment of Co

、mmon Air Interface endpoint equipment, i.e. infrastructure and subscriber units, for Two Slot TDMA Trunked Air Interface. This document recommends a subset of published standard tests to “assess” compliance and is not intended to imply exhaustive standard compliance verification. The full set of tes

、ts published by TIA can be found in the documents included in the Informative Reference list. The full set of Two Slot TDMA Trunked Air Interface operation tests as described in the documents identified in the Informative Reference section are expected to be part of the manufacturers product design,

、 product implementation and product certification process. The “product design certification process” referred to in the prior sentence is a manufacturer-specific process, part of the product development environment, and does not imply formal certification by any entity such as the FCC, etc. 1.1 Sco

、pe This Bulletin identifies the tests appropriate for use in compliance-assessment-type testing in the area of Two Slot TDMA Trunked Air Interface. These tests were deemed appropriate by the members of TR-8.25. This group, being familiar with the relevant published documents, available test equipmen

、t and the general intentions of compliance assessment testing, reviewed all tests in all documents listed in section 1.3. The TIA TR-8.25 subcommittee is responsible for maintaining this document and keeping it current with the latest published revision of reference documents. In determining the tes

、ts appropriate for compliance assessment testing in this area, the group considered whether tests in the reference documents were important for assessing compliance of equipment and achieving interoperability between equipment of different manufacturers versus tests important for product design and

、certification. In general, tests that were determined to be primarily oriented towards product design and certification were deemed inappropriate for inclusion in this list. The resulting list therefore represents tests that are most important for or most likely to impact interoperability between ma
