、 be used and installed in accordance with Standard for the Design and Installationof Oxygen-Fuel Gas Systems for Welding, Cutting, and Allied Processes, NFPA 51 and Safety in Welding,Cutting and Allied Processes, AWS/ANSI Z49.1.2 General2.1 Components2.1.1 Except as indicated in 2.1.2, a component o
、f a product covered by this outline shall comply with therequirements for that component. See Appendix A for a list of standards covering components used in theproducts covered by this outline.2.1.2 A component is not required to comply with a specific requirement that:a) Involves a feature or chara
、cteristic not required in the application of the component in theproduct covered by this standard, orb) Is superseded by a requirement in this standard.2.1.3 A component shall be used in accordance with its rating established for the intended conditions ofuse.PERFORMANCE3 Leakage Test3.1 One sample
、of each size of hose reel and hose (if supplied), shall be subjected to test. The oxygenside shall be subjected to aerostatic pressure of 600 psig and the acetylene side shall be subjected toaerostatic pressure of 100 psig. The test pressure shall be maintained for 1 minute.3.2 No external leakage s

、lied), shall be subjected to 50,000 cycles ofoperation. One cycle shall include at least one revolution of the reel assembly in one direction, and itsreturn to the initial position. The reel and hose shall be continuously pressurized to 75 psig for the durationof the test.4.2 No external leakage or
、damage to the hose (if supplied), shall be observed after the test.5 Hydrostatic Strength Test5.1 Each size of hose reel with hose, if supplied, shall be subjected to a hydrostatic test pressure of 5times the maximum working pressure, not less than 500 psig maintained for 1 minute.5.2 The reel shall
、 show no evidence of rupture or distortion and the hose shall not burst.6 Accelerated Aging Test6.1 Representative samples of the elastomer parts shall be subjected to 70 h in an air oven at 100 2C(212 3.6F). The samples shall be subjected to a visual inspection before and after the air oven aging.T
、he samples shall still be flexible and show no apparent deterioration after the air oven aging.7 Fuel Gas Compatibility Test7.1 Samples of nonmetallic components of the device are subjected to immersion tests for 70 h at roomtemperature in test liquids in accordance with Table 7.1. Volume change and
、 weight loss determinationsare made after immersion. Volume change shall be within the limits of minus 1 to 25 percent. A maximumweight loss of 10 percent is allowed.Table 7.1Test liquidsFluid in contact with part Test fuel gases and pressureAcetylene, hydrogen Test waivedLP-Gas N-hexaneMPS-gas MPS-
