6、switches, rated 4000 A or less at 1000 V ac or dcor less, having all current-carrying parts enclosed, manually operable by means of external handles, andintended to be employed in accordance with the National Electrical Code.1.2 This Outline is intended to be used with the Standard for Enclosed Swit
7、ches, UL 98. Only the sectionsthat are modified from UL 98 are included in this Outline, all other Sections apply as written in UL 98.1.3 These requirements also cover deadfront switches that have all current-carrying parts enclosed whenmounted in an enclosed panelboard, deadfront switchboard, or th

These switches are manuallyoperable by means of external handles and are intended to be employed in accordance with the NationalElectrical Code.1.4 These requirements do not cover fusible switches or switches with horsepower or kilowatt ratings andtherefore any related requirements of UL 98

12、ings of 250 V dc orbelow, where the same or lesser dc current is involved.7.1.2 Overload and endurance tests at a higher magnitude dc voltage are representative of all voltageratings of a lower magnitude where the same or lesser dc current is involved.7.1.3 When testing with a metal enclosure, a 10
