The object of IEC is to promote international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To this end and in additi

29、nd 8/1265/RVD. The technical content is therefore identical to the base edition and its amendment and has been prepared for user convenience. It bears the edition number 2.1. A vertical line in the margin shows where the base publication has been modified by amendment 1. It has the status of a horiz
30、ontal standard in accordance with IEC Guide 108. 60059 IEC:1999+A1:2009 3 The committee has decided that the contents of the base publication and its amendments will remain unchanged until the maintenance result date indicated on the IEC web site under “http:/webstore.iec.ch“ in the data related to

At this date, the publication will be reconfirmed, withdrawn, replaced by a revised edition, or amended. 4 60059 IEC:1999+A1:2009 IEC STANDARD CURRENT RATINGS 1 Scope This standard specifies standard current ratings for electrical devices, apparatus, instruments and equipme
32、nt. This standard does not apply to current ratings of components and parts used within electrical devices or items of equipment. 2 Normative reference The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of IEC 60059. For dated references
33、 subsequent amendments to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on IEC 60059 are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edi
34、tion of the normative document referred to applies. Members of IEC and ISO maintain registers of currently valid International Standards. ISO 3:1973, Preferred numbers Series of preferred numbers 3 Ratings The chosen values are compliant with the R10 series specified in ISO 3. For any type of equipm
35、ent, the current ratings should be selected among the values in the following table. These values should be applied to the design of utilization systems or equipment as well as to operating characteristics.
