6、Un dispositif classique de mesure de puissance. - Un attnuateur variable talonn, connect un coupleur directif. Pour les mesures dcrites, la ou les frquences de mesure seront indiques pour chaque type de tube. Pour certaines mesures (par exemple, mesure de discontinuit de frquence) la gamme de frquen

7、ce entire sera analyse dune manire continue, le t.0.s. spcifi variant de faon continue pour passer par toutes les valeurs de phase possibles. La cathode ayant t chauffe pendant le temps spcifi, les tensions seront appliques dans lordre indiqu par le fabricant et conformment ses instructions. En part

8、iculier, le degr de stabilisation indiqu sera adopt. La cathode est le point de rfrence pour mesurer la tension aux lectrodes, bien quil ne soit pas ncessaire de runir celle-ci la masse. Afin dviter la ncessit dune discontinuit en courant continu dans le circuit de sortie radiofrquence, la ligne a r

9、etard est gnralement mise la masse, de sorte que la cathode est i un potentiel ngatif par rapport 6 la masse. Les prcautions suivantes doivent galement tre prises pour les TOR comprenant des aimants permanents de focalisation non blinds : - Les distances de scurit entre le tube et les pieces magntiq

10、ues ou ferromagntiques voisines seront respectes afin dviter toute dgradation des caractristiques du tube ainsi que les effets possibles de dsaimantation permanente. - On utilisera des outils non magntiques pour la mise en place (ou le retrait) du tube dans le circuit de mesure. 2. Mthodes de mesure

11、 2.1 Puissance de sortie moyeizrie radiofrquence. 12、ICROWAVE TUBES Part 8 : Backward-wave oscillator tubes - “O” type 1. General measurement requirements and precautions The measurement circuit generally used is shown in Figure 1, page 14, It comprises: - The supply to the tube being measured, with modulating devices (usually 50 Hz or 60 Hz) for the

13、voltages of the slow-wave structure or first anode and of the control grid. The modulating signal is also used as a deflection voltage for the oscilloscope. - An absorption wavemeter of sufficiently high Q to enable the determination of the frequency in the electronic tuning band as a function of th

14、e slow-wave-structure voltage by observation of the “pip” produced on the power curve shown on the oscilloscope. - A phase shifter to adjust the reflection factor of the load to the desired value and to vary the phase; in some cases it may be desirable that the phase shifter be motor-driven continuo

15、usly through all phases. - A conventional power measuring device. - A calibrated variable attenuator connected to a directional coupler. For the measurements described, the measuring frequency or frequencies shall be indicated for each type of tube. For certain measurements (e.g. measurement of disc

16、ontinuity of frequency) the whole range of frequency shall be analysed in a continuous manner while the stated reflection coefficient of the load is continuously varied through all possible phases. After the cathode has been heated for a stated time, the voltages shall be applied in the order indica

17、ted by the manufacturer and in accordance with his instructions. In particular, the indicated degree of supply stabilization shall be used. The cathode is the reference point for measuring electrode voltages, although it is not necessary for the cathode to be at earth potential. In order to avoid th

18、e need for a d.c. break in the r.f. output circuit, the slov-wave structure is usually earthed so that the cathode is at negative potential with respect to earth. The following precautions must also be taken for backward-wave oscillators incorporating unshielded permanent-magnet focusing : - The saf

19、e spacing of the tube in relation to any adjacent magnetic or ferromagnetic parts shall be observed, so as to avoid distortion of the characteristics of the tube and possible permanent demagnetizing effects. - Non-magnetic tools must be used in inserting (or removing) the tube into the measurement circuit. 2.
