Besides, nothing would be worse than living in three different places in one semester.)

One of the two girls I was to share an apartment with was going to work instead of

、going to college而去工作。 She found out that she did not get the job she had been counting on。 (1)share with 分享 (2)count on 期望 (3)be stuck with 被困住 第三段:写的是事件的发展,即:我又找到了另一所公寓,租金还好。

My room was a charred mess。 be a charred mess

My first semester of college was the worst Ive been through 相呼应。 I finished the semester with low grades I did learn a few things, though

、: However, I learned a lot from it (3)take the risk of When you plan on rooming with a non-college person, you are taking the risk that he or she will not be around for an entire semester When you are going to share a room with a person who is not in

、ght brain with the function of thinking creatively III. Dominance of left or right brain. A. Features of left-brained people B. Features of right-brained people C. Coordination of left and right brains)解析:解析: 这是一篇通过对人脑的两部分左脑和右脑特点及其功能的简要介绍,进一步揭示出左脑和右脑同等重要这一事实的说明文。

Not long ago that scientists made the remarkable discovery that our brains are divided into two halvesleft brain and right brain, and that each half has seperate features and roles主题思想句是全文叙述内容的归结,为下文作出了很好的铺垫。

原文中部分有益的短语: (1)step by step 逐渐地;一步一步地 egHe learnt the rules of the game step by step他逐渐学会了游戏的规则。 (2)be sharp at 对敏锐;对机敏 egThe little boy is extremely sharp at finding unusual phenomena happening in the atmosphere这个小男孩对于大气中存在的异常现象感觉很敏锐。 (3)go through 遭受;经历;忍受(be through) egThe
