Scope1.1 This specification covers reinforced solid elementsmanufactured from autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), acement

3、itious product addressed by Specification C1693. Thespecification addresses dimensional tolerances, maximum lim-its for drying shrinkage, requirements for steel reinforcement,and shipping and handling.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parent

4、heses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate

7、oncrete(AAC)3. Classification3.1 Reinforced AAC elements manufactured in accordancewith this specification shall be classified according to theirstrength class.4. Materials and Manufacture4.1 Reinforced AAC elements manufactured in accordancewith this specification shall be composed entirely of AACm

8、aterial conforming to Specification C1693.5. Physical Requirements5.1 Compressive StrengthThe compressive strength of theelements shall be determined according to SpecificationC1693, and shall conform to the requirements of SpecificationC1693 for the strength class in which the elements areclassifie

9、d.5.2 Dry Bulk DensityThe dry bulk density shall be deter-mined according to Specification C1693, and shall conform tothe requirements of Specification C1693 for the strength classin which the elements are classified.5.3 Drying ShrinkageThe drying shrinkage shall be deter-mined in accordance with Sp

10、ecification C1693, and the aver-age drying shrinkage shall conform to the requirements ofSpecification C1693 for the strength class in which theelements are specified.5.4 Steel ReinforcemenThe properties of the steel rein-forcement shall be determined in accordance with SpecificationA82/A82M and sha

11、ll conform to the requirements of Table 1.5.5 Weld-Point Shear StrengthThe weld-point shearstrength in the reinforcement shall be determined in accordancewith Section 8 and shall conform to the requirements of Table2.5.6 Concrete Cover of Steel ReinforcementThe minimumconcrete cover over the steel r

12、einforcement shall be 0.375 in.(10 mm). The reinforcing steel shall receive a corrosion-resistant coating before casting.NOTE 1Acover greater than 0.375 in. (10 mm) may be required in fireresistant applications.5.7 Effectiveness of Corrosion Protection of SteelReinforcementThe effectiveness of the c

Dimensions and Permissible Variations6.1 The dimensions of the reinforced elements shall be asspecified by theAAC manufacturer.Allowable deviations fromthe specified element dimensions are pr

18、ovided in Table 3.7. Corrosion Protection of Steel Reinforcement in AAC7.1 Apparatus:7.1.1 Storage Container, with dimensions sufficient to com-pletely immerse AAC specimens.7.2 Test SpecimensA test set shall consist of six testspecimens having the dimensions 16 in. (400 mm) by width ofthe reinforce

19、d element by thickness of the reinforced element.The exposed surface areas of the steel reinforcement at eachend of the test specimen shall be coated with the corrosion-protection compound and allowed to dry before testing. Threespecimens are to be kept as reference specimens, and threespecimens sha

20、ll be tested.7.3 Procedure:7.3.1 Reference SpecimensStore the reference specimensin a room having a temperature of 59 to 68F (15 to 20C) anda relative humidity of 50 to 70 %.7.3.2 Test SpecimensImmerse the test specimens in anaqueous sodium chloride solution, 3 % sodium chloride (NaCl)by mass, for p

21、eriods of2hatintervals of three days. Repeat fora total of ten test cycles. When the specimens are not immersedin the sodium chloride solution, store them under the sameconditions as the reference specimens.After completing the tentesting cycles, allow the specimens to air dry for 4 h.7.3.3 Inspecti

22、on for RustAfter completing the testingprocedure, remove the autoclaved aerated concrete around thesteel reinforcement in the reference specimen and the testspecimens. By visual inspection, determine the area of rustcovering the steel and express that area as a percentage of thetotal area of the spe

25、 which is rusted.The total area of corroded surface shall be reported as theaverage total area for the three test and the three referencespecimens.8. Weld-Point Shear Strength8.1 ApparatusPerform this test using the device shown inFig. 1 or an equivalent device that can be fitted into a normaltensio

26、n testing machine.8.2 SpecimenUse a specimen of the shape shown in Fig.2. Take specimens at random from welded mats of reinforce-ment that have not been coated with a corrosion-resistantcompound. The bar with the largest diameter shall be selectedas the test specimen. Do not fabricate special test s

27、pecimens forthis test, except for initial qualification of the welding device.8.3 ProcedureGrip the specimen in the test fixture so thatthe tension bar is centrally located and rotation of the anchor-ing bar is prevented. Load at a rate not exceeding 112 lbf/s (0.5kN/s).8.4 Test ResultsReport the fo

28、llowing:8.4.1 Nominal steel quality.8.4.2 Diameter of the longitudinal bar (tensioned bar).8.4.3 Diameter of the transverse bar (anchoring bar).8.4.4 Ultimate shear force.9. Shipping and Handling of Reinforced AAC Elements9.1 Protect reinforced AAC elements from damage duringshipping by placement on

29、 pallets or other supports, banding ofthe elements, placement of material between the elements, orany other method deemed appropriate by the AAC manufac-turer. 33、und and free of defects thatwould interfere with the proper placement of the unit or impairthe strength or permanence of the construction. Minor imper-fections incidental to the usual methods of manufacture, orresulting from customary methods of handling in shipment anddelivery, shall not be deemed

Sampling and Testing11.1 The purchaser or his authorized representative shall beaccorded proper facilities to inspect and sample the elements atthe place of manufac

35、ture from the lots ready for delivery.11.2 The elements shall be sampled and tested in accor-dance with test methods of this specification.12. Rejection and Rehearing12.1 If the shipment fails to conform to the specificrequirements, the manufacturer shall be permitted to sort it, andnew specimens sh

36、all be selected by the purchaser from theretained lot and tested at the expense of the manufacturer. If thesecond set of specimens fails to conform to the testrequirements, the entire lot shall be rejected.13. Expense of Tests13.1 Except as specified in Section 12, and unless otherwiseagreed, the ex

37、pense of inspection and testing shall be borne bythe purchaser.14. Precision and Bias14.1 The precision and bias of the test procedures describedin Section 8, Section 9, and Section 10 are being determinedand will be provided when sufficient data are available toindicate acceptable tolerances in rep

38、eatability and reproduc-ibility.15.
