3、es. 1. SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description (CID) provides accurate reference values for the calibration of test measurement and diagnostic equipment for the development, repair and maintenance of navigational aids, radio frequency communications equipment and other measurement equipment. This CI
4、D lists the minimum performance, design, functional, environmental, reliability requirements and quality assurance provisions for the capacitance standard. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The capacitance standard covered by this CID is commercially available equipment that has factory installed options and/or ma
5、y be modified to the extent necessary to meet the following description. The test set shall be Class 3, in accordance with MIL-PRF-28800. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 3.1 Item Description. This capacitance standard shall provide accurate reference values for the calibration of test measurement and di
6、agnostic equipment for the development, repair and maintenance of navigational aids, satellite and radio frequency communications equipment and other measurement equipment. This standard shall be contained in an enclosure to maintain a stable environment and avoid RFI/EMI interference. 3.2 Capacitan
7、ce Values. The capacitance standard shall have minimum and maximum values with tolerance of 2.0% levels as show on table 1 Capacitance Value and Variability. The capacitance standard shall have non-polarized class 1 capacitors with dielectric material constant value between 15 and 100
9、with a delta percentage change of less than 0.4% from -55C to 125C (-67F to 257F). 3.4 Effective Series Resistance (ESR). The capacitance shall exhibit a maximum ESR equal or less than the absolute value of 2 ohms in alternate current measurement mode from wiring harness connector to connector, (see

The capacitance standard shall have low drop out voltage small signal fast recovery diodes connected in series with the capacitors. A terminal connector tapped, allowing for connectivity with or with
11、out the diode(s) in series as to allow for direct current and alternating current applications, shown in figure 2. 12、n the capacitance standard unit shall be devices rated at a voltage equal or greater than 75 volts in working direct current voltage, WVDC75V. 3.7 Insulation Resistance (IR). The capacitance standard discrete devices shall exhibit a typical characteristic resistance (RCH) to 6.3 Giga ohms or R x C 5
13、00 Ohms times, capacity in Farads after 120 seconds at working voltage (WVDC). 3.8 Temperature Coefficient of Capacitance (TCC). The capacitance standard independent discrete devices shall have a typical TCC variability of 60 ppm/C from 55 C to + 125 C (131F to 257F). 3.9 Thermal Stability. The capa
14、citance standard accuracy shall vary no more than 2.0% of its value within the temperature range of 20C to 30C (68F to 86F) after tests in MIL-PRF-28800, section 4.5.5.1.1 has been performed for class 3 equipment classification (Per table 11 on page 41). The capacitance standard shall be used in both bench top, flight
16、 line and rack mounted environments. The capacitance standard is a commercial off the shelf item subject to commercial products regulatory standards. The capacitance standard shall comply with all applicable MIL-PRF-28800F sections. The capacitance standard shall be designed and constructed in accor
17、dance with all applicable European Union (EU) requirements in order to have the “CE” marking affixed. 3.11 System Safety. The system shall comply with all sections of the Underwriters Laboratories (UL), IEC/ISO standard 61010A and 61010B for electrical safety. 3.12 Sound Levels. The capacitance stan
18、dard acoustic noise shall conform to sound level requirements on section 1 of ISO 7779 and sections 1 b) meet appropriate performance standards, or c) at a reasonable price. The prime contractor is responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors comply with this requirement. 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE
19、PROVISIONS. 5.1 Contractor Certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, and the product conforms to the producers engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and q
20、uality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
