The lift truck shall have a 24 volt electrical system. The electrical system s
6、hall incorporate an external alternator system to produce not less than 8 amps at idle engine rpm and not less than 15 amps at maximum engine rpm. 3.2.4.1 Starting system. The starting system shall have a lead-acid battery conforming to MIL-B-8565, a starting switch, an alternator, and a voltage reg
7、ulator. 3.2.4.2 Li htin S stem. The lift truck shall have two swivel floodlights, + a ackup light, and reflectors that conform to MIL- 3.2.5 Transmission. The lift truck shall have a hydrostatic transmission of sufficient size to effectively transmit power from the engine to the rear axle, R-12144.
8、3.2.5.1 Heat exchanger. The lift truck shall have a heat exchanger of sufficient size to keep the transmission fluid below +200F under normal operating conditions. 3.2.6 Brakes. The brakes shall hold the loaded lift truck on a 1 O percent grade. 3.2.6.1 Service brake. The lift truck shall have hydra
9、ulic brakes on the two rear wheels and the two inside front wheels. The brakes shall be foot pedal controlled and capable of stopping the fully loaded lift truck traveling at 8 mph within a maximum distance of 16 feet. 3.2.6,2 Emergency brakes. The lift truck shall have a mechanical emergency brake
10、that is easily accessible to the operator. 3,2,7 Instrument panel, The instrument panel shall be located in a position that is easily observed by the operator. The gages shall be color coded to indicate above and below normal ranges of operation of the hydraulic, electrical, and automotive systems.
11、The panel shall include a tach-hourmeter, an oil pressure gage, an ammeter, a temperature indicator, an accumulator pressure gage, and the hydraulic control valves (3.2.8.7). All hydraulic fluid leaving the .reservier shall pass through the filter before returning. to the reservior. Th
13、e differential pressure drop shall not exceed 50 pounds per square inch (psi ) between the in1 et and outlet of the fi-l ter housing at 30 gal 1 ons per minute (gpm) flow and oil temperature at 100oF. 14、ntrol valves, cy1 inders, and other mechanisms to perform under operating and functional conditions stated hereh. 3.2.8.1 Steering. The lift truck shall have rear wheel, hydraulic power steering. The steering shall ensure positive control of the 1 ift truck when traveling at maximum speed nd be capa
15、ble of turning the wheels when the lift truck is stationary with the engine idling. No more than three turns of the steering wheel shall be required to turn from lock to lock. The lift truck sh,all have a turn radius of 20 feet. 3.2.8.2 Accumulator. The hydraulic system shall have an accumulator tha
16、t is precharged with nitrogen to 700 psi? 50 psi. The hydraulic system pump shall be capable of further charging the accumulator to capacity when the engine is operating at 1 O00 rpm. 3.2.8.3 Control valve. The hydrualic system shall have a control valve for positive metering. of the hydraulic fluid
17、 to ensure a smooth operati on. 3.2.8.4 Unloader valve. The hydraulic system shall have a valve in the pump circuit ta permit a continuous flow of fluid through the pump when there is no demand on the system. Operating pressure shall be maintained in the pump line only when there is a demand on the

To provide additional stability in hand1 ing bu1 ky i tems, provi sion shall be made for extending the wheel base from 89 3.4 inc
21、hes to 113 3/4 inches in 12 inch increments. The side frame width shall hydraulically be adjustable to allow a minimum width between the inside front wheels of 24 1/2 inches and a maximum of 94 inches. The position of the wheel s shall be individually adjustable within this range. The control valves
22、 for side frame width movement shall be located on the instrument panel. The boom shall be capable of being lowered bel ow wheel /ground contact 1 ine to al low raising of wheels for extending the front wheels. The side frame width adjusting mechanism shall be capable of operating through 250 cycles
23、, from 24 1/2 inches to 94 inches, without fai 1 Ure . 3.2.8.9 4.4.5.1 for one mile unloaded only; and 4.4.5.5 and 4.4.5.6. 4.2.2.2 Periodic sampling tests. One lift truck shall be selected from each 50, or fraction thereof, on the contract or order and subjected t sampling tests. The test sample sh
24、all be selected by the procuring activity from production lift trucks which have successfully completed all production tests. The sampling tests shall consist of all tests described under 4.4 except for the following: C. d. with 200 4.2.2.2. periodic items st a. Delete 4.4.2 6. -Reduce 4.4.4.1.1 to

When a lift truck-selected for sampling tests fails to meet this specification, no i 11 on hand or produced later shall be accepted unti
26、1 the extent and cause of the failure are determined. 4.2.2.2.2 Continuance of individual tests. Individual tests may be continued at the discretion of the procuring activity pending the investigation of the periodic sampling test failure. However, final acceptance of items on hand or produced later
27、 shall not be made until it is determined that the lift trucks meet all the requirements of this specification. 4.2.2.2.3 Defects in items already received. The investigation of a periodic sampling te-st failure may indicate that defects exist in items previously accepted. The contractor shall be re

Unless otherwise specified here
29、in, tests shall be performed under normal ambient temperatures and atmospheric conditions . 4.4 Test methods and procedures. Upon completion of each test there shall be no evidence of structural or hydraulic fail Ure. 4.4.1 Examination of product. Each lift truck shall be completely inspected to ins
30、ure conformance with this specification and all applicable drawings with respect to workmanship, material , dimensions, weight, and markings. 4.4.2 Environmental testing. The lift truck, with a 7000 pound load on the table shall be subjected to the following envi ronmental tests in accordance with M
31、IL-STD-81 O. 4.4.2.1 High Temperature Test, Method 501, Procedure II. The lift truck shall be operated +125oF for 30 minutes. 4.4.2.2 Low Temperature Test, Method 502, Procedure I. The storage temperature shall be -65OF. The 1 ift truck shall be operated at -400F for 30 minutes. 4.4.2.3 Rain Test, M
32、ethod 506, Procedure 1. The lift truck shall be operated the last 10 minutes of each of the four 30 minute rain cycles. 4.4.2.4 Sand and Dust Test, Method 510, Procedure I. The lift truck shall be operated for 30 minutes. 4.4.3 Structural overload tests. The lift truck shall be subjected to the foll
33、owing static load tests with a 14,000 pound load on the table. - 4.4.3.1 The lifting boom shall be set such that the top of the table is 48 inches above the ground. The load shall be placed on the table and held in that position for three minutes. Upon removal of the load, the table shall not have d
34、ropped more than 1/2 inch. This test shall be repeated with the lifting boom set such that the top of the table is 96 inches above the ground . 4.4.4 Functional tests. The lift truck shall be subjected to the following functional tests. 4.4.4.1 The following tests shall be performed with a 7000 poun

The boom shall be raised and lowered through the maximum lift range for TOO0 cycles. During this test it shall be demonstrated that, with
36、the engine operating at 2400 rpm, the lift rate is not less than an average of 14 feet per mi nute for a complete cycle. 4.4.4.1.2 Failsafe test. The table shall be raised off the ground. It shall be demonstrated by causing a hydraulic failure that the “failsafe“ features of the main lift mechanisms
37、 are functioning. 4.4.4.1.3 Incremental control test. The lifting mechanism shall demonstrate an incremental control capability of not more than 1/8 inch through the vertical lift range. 4.4.4.1.4 Azimuth test. The lifting boom shall be moved horizontally 20 + 2 degrees to each side of center for 25
38、0 cycles. It shal also be demonstrated once that there is an incremental control- capability of not more than 1/8 inch through the horizontal range. 4.4.4.1.5 Manual lift rate test. The auxiliary hand pump shall demonstrate that the lift boom can be raised or lowered through its maximum range in fiv
39、e minutes. 4.4.4.1.6 Accumulator test. The hydraulic system accumulator shall demonstrate its capability of being charged to capacity while the engine is running at a maximum of 1000 rpm. . Further, the unloader valve shall demonstrate that there is a continuous flow of fluid through the pump when t
40、here is no demand on the hydraulic system. When the engine is shut down, the accumulator pressure may leak down to a minimum of 700 psi f. 50 psi. 4.4.4.1.7 Hydraulic filter test. The pressure differential between the inlet and outlet of the filter housing shall be checked to insure that the differe
41、ntial does not exgeed 50 psi at 30 gpm oil flow at an oil temperature of 100 F. 4.4.4.1.8 Boom drift test. This test shall demonstrate that, with the engine operating at 1800 rpm, the vertical and horizon-ta1 boom drift,-measuked at the front of the manipulator head, does not exceed 1/2 inch for one
42、 hour. 4.4.4.2 Manipulator head cycle test, The following tests shall be performed with a 6000 pound load on the forks for 250 cycles. 4.4.4.2.1 Yaw test. The tilt cylinders on the manipulator head shall move -me longitudinal centerl ine of the load 5 plus 1 minus zero degrees up and down from 1 evel position. During this test it shall be demonstrated that, with the engine operating at 1
46、800 rpm, the longitudinal drift, measured at the longitudinal cy1 inders, does not exceed 1/2 inch for one hour. 4.4.4.3 Boom and outrigger cycle test. The following tests shall be performed with no load on the lift truck for 250 cycles. 4.4.4.3.1 Boom cycle test. The boom shall be raised and lowere
47、d through the maximum lift range. During this test it shall be demonstrated that, with the engine operating at 2400 rpm, the lift rate is not less than an average of 14 feet per minute for a complete cycle. 4.4.4.3.2 Outrigger test. The outriggers shall be fully extended laterally so that the inside
48、 front wheels are 94 inches apart and then retracted to 24 1/2 inches. 4.4.4.3.3 Front wheel adjustment test. The front wheels shall be extended longitudinal to provide a wheel base of not less than 89 3/4 inches to not greater than 11 3 3/4 inches in 12 inch increments. 4.4.5 Mobility tests. The li
49、ft truck shall be subjected to the fol 1 owing mobi 1 i ty tests with a 7000 pound load on the table unless otherwise specified. 4.4.5.1 Road. test. The lift truck shall be driven 500 miles loaded and 100 miles unloaded. The test shall include not less than 1000 stop and go cycles. 4.4.5.2 Heat Exchanger test.
