The insulation shall be solid for Type A or F cables and cellular, with or without a solid dielectric skin, for Type CF cables. The solid dielectric skin over the cellular insulation may or may not be the same polym

35、- ICEA S-56-434 83 7007034 OOOOYYb 702 = 2.3 COLOR CODE OF PAIRS 2.3.1 The colors of insulated conductors supplied in accordance with this Standard are specified in terms of the Munsell Color System (ASTM D 1535) and shall comply with the requirements of EIA Standard RS-359 (ANSI C83.1) except as ot

36、herwise specified below. 2.3.1.1 Except as otherwise noted, the “Table of Extended Limit Chips“ defined in Appendix C shall be used. 2.3.1.2 For chromatic colors, there is no V+ (light) limit for yellow, and there is no C+ limit for any color except brown. In these cases, any color above the minimum

37、 limit is acceptable if all other requirements are met. 2.3.1.3 For neutral colors, there is no V+ (light) limit for white and no V- (dark) limit for black. 2.3.1.4 For neutral colors, chromaticity deviations from the neutral centroid may be in any hue direction. Limits of deviation are specified fo

Adjacent layers may be cabled in the same direction or

Cables having 25 pairs or less may also be composed of subgroups in lieu of the concentric layer construction. 2.5.2 In cables having more than 25 pairs, the twisted pairs shall be grouped, each group being bound by non-hygroscopic and non- wicking threads or tape. Each group

45、 shall contain not more than 25 pairs, excluding spare or service pairs. When desired for lay-up reasons, the basic 25-pair groups may be divided into two or more subgroups called units. Each unit in a particular 25-pair group shall be bound with binder threads or binder tapes of the colors indicate

46、d in Table 4 for its particular 25-pair group. The pair count shall be consecutive from 1 to 25 as given in Table 3 through the units in a group. 2.5.3 The binders may be threads or tapes and shall be colored to indicate the sequence of groups for pair identification. Binders shall be applied with a

47、 lay length of not more than 4 inches (100 mm) . 2.5.4 The colors of the binders and their significance with respect to pair count shall be as shown in Table 4. Each color shall be readily recognizable as the basic intended color and shall be distinguishable from all the other colors. -7- ICEA S-5b-
