27、ous standards for certain low voltage two-inch (51mm) dichroic coated integral reflector, rim reference tungsten halogen lamp types with GX5.3 bases designed for large screen projection systems and used in 8mm projection, 16mm projection, slide projector, photo enlarger, and printing applications. T

28、he lamp types contained in this standard are not to be considered as interchangeable although they will all physically fit into two-inch integral rim reference centering systems and common GX5.3 lampholders. Photometry performance of each lamp depends upon the photometry appraisal system for which i

29、t was designed as well as the system in which the lamp is used. Photometry appraisal and end use systems may or may not be the same. Two-inch (51mm) integral reflector, rim reference tungsten halogen lamps with GX5.3 bases having ANSI lamp designations, DDM, EJL, ELB, and ELC are included in this St

39、 applications Protective Shield See Cautionary Notice 6 Cautionary Notice To assure maximum safety during handling and use of the subject lamps, the following notices should be observed: 1. Tungsten-halogen lamps operate at high temperature and at internal gas pressures above atmospheric pressure. C

40、onsequently, a lamp could shatter. Certain lamps may also emit some amount of ultraviolet radiation. Therefore a suitable protective shield, screening technique, or both shall be used with the luminaire to protect people and surroundings from both hazards. 2. Always read and observe the information

43、 88.2 Illumination See ANSI IT7.201, Slide Projectors and Filmstrip Projectors-Illumination Test, or ISO 11315-1, Photography Projection in Indoor Rooms, Part 1; Screen Illumination Test for Still Projectors. Illumination from large screen projection lamps in this standard is typically measured usin

44、g large screen photometry appraisal with lamps placed in aperture and lens systems that simulate projectors. See Figure A1 in Annex A for typical projection systems used for screen photometry of lamps in this standard. Light from lamps converges and passes through a rectangular aperture and projecti

45、on lens, and is formed into a rectangular image proportional in size to the aperture. A condenser lens may also be used between the lamp and aperture. This image is projected onto a large screen equipped with photocells for measurement of both light intensity and uniformity with the distance from th

46、e lamp to screen determined by the desired image size on the screen. 47、uare meter. Light intensity is measured by the nine light cells in centers of nine equal area elements with area elements and photocell location determined by the screen width and height. Total light intensity in screen lumens is the average light intensity at each light photocell multiplied by the

48、total screen area in square meters. Uniformity in terms of corner-to-center ratio is measured by the center light cell and the four corner cells. Corner cell location, also determined by screen width and height, may vary among different set-ups. All lamp performance characteristics in Table 2, projection systems, and large screen photometry set-ups are typical but may vary among different lamp manufacturers. 8.3 Seal Temperature Measurement
