SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 1.1 Design and construction. The glass cruets shall
2、be fabricated of either a lime or a lead flint glass and may be either handmade or machine made. cruets shall have a minimum of 4 ounce capacity and shall measure approximately 4 inches from the base to the top of the cruet without the stopper. shall be all glass and measure approximately 2 inches i
3、n height. The cruets shall include an all glass handle which is consistent with standard commercial practice. All glass surfaces and edges shall be free from defects. 4、Y ASSURANCE 2.1 Certification, The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same as the product offered for sale in the co
5、mmercial marketplace. When specific quality assurance provisions are specified for any commercial charac- teristic the contractor shall furnish data resulting from inspection conducted in accordance with the specific quality assurance provisions. reserves the right to require proof of such conforman

Each pair of cruets, with stoppers, shall be wrapped in flexible cellular plastic film (bubble pack) or at least two thicknesses of tissue pap
7、er. fiberboard box. Cushioning shall be applied, as necesssry, to immobilize the cruets and fill voids in the box. Forty-eight cruets (twenty-four pair), packaged as specified, shall be packed in a snug-fitting shipping container conforming to style RSC, type CF, (variety SW) or SF, class d
9、omestic, grade 275 of PPP-B-634. The shipping container shall be completely filled with no voids and of a size that can be palletized in accordance with MIL-STD-147. Each chipping container shall be closed in accordance with the appendix of PPP-E-636. 3.3 Palletization, 4-way entry pallet in accorda
