The contractor shall provide adequate controls to insure compliance with the applicable requirement. Th
、e volatiles content of the pyrotechnic and explosive components shall be determined at the loading station at the time of loading the detonator. This determination shall be made at least once for each eight (8) hours of production. A sample of approximately 10 grams shall be selected for this test.
、The samples shall be stored in air-tight containers until this test is performed. If the volatiles content fails to comply with the requirement specified on the applicable drawing and loading has not begun, the lot shall be rejected until corrective action has been verified by repeating the volatile
、s content determination. If loading has begun, detonators loaded with the non-conforming components shall be rejected. This test shall be performed as specified in MIL-STD-650, Method 101.5 or 101.6. 4.5.2 Heat of reaction of delay composition. Prior to loading, a sample of delay composition shall b
、e selected from the lot to be used in loading the delay detonators and shall be subjected to this test. If the heat or reaction (calories/grams) fails to comply with the requirements specified on the applicable drawing, the delay composition lot shall be rejected for use in loading delay detonators.
、 If loading has begun, delay detonators loaded with the nonconforming delay composition shall be rejected. The test shall be performed as specified in MIL-STD-286 Method 802.1 (Heat of Explosion). 17 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-MI
