In casesspecified in the rules of Section 7.4, a refrigerating ma
23、chineryroom shall meet the following special requirements in addi-tion to those in Section 8.11:a. There shall be no flame-producing device or continu-ously operating hot surface over 800F (427C) per-manently installed in the room.b. Doors communicating with the building shall beapproved, self-closi
24、ng, tight-fitting fire doors.c. Walls, floor, and ceiling shall be tight and of noncom-bustible construction. Walls, floor, and ceiling separat-ing the refrigerating machinery room from otheroccupied spaces shall be of at least one-hour fire-resis-tive construction.d. The refrigerating machinery roo
25、m shall have a doorthat opens directly to the outdoors or through a vesti-bule equipped with self-closing, tight-fitting doors.e.d. Exterior openings, if present, shall not be under anyfire escape or any open stairway.f.e. All pipes piercing the interior walls, ceiling, or floorof such rooms shall b
26、e tightly sealed to the walls, ceil-ing, or floor through which they pass.g.f. When refrigerants of Groups A2, A3, B2, and B3are used, the machinery room shall conform to Class 1,Division 2, of the National Electrical Code.5 Whenrefrigerant Groups A1 and B1 are used, the machineryroom is not require
