、chnical Coordinator of ASD-STANs Mechanical Domain. After inquiries and votes carried out in accordance with the rules of ASD-STAN defined in ASD-STANs General Process Manual, this standard has received approval for Publication. Introduction This standard is co-owned standard and a functional equiva
、lent of AS5551. There should be no technical objection to use AS5551 as replacement of EN 4834 parts. Further revisions to this standard shall be coordinated with the SAE committee. European Standards use the International System of units (SI); however, large segments of the aerospace industry make
、use of other measurement systems as a matter of common working practice. All dimensions and units used in this Standard are given in SI units, with other units also indicated for the convenience of the user. The decimal sign used in European Standards is the comma (“,”); however, the comma is not us
、ed in common working practice with non-SI dimensions. Therefore, in common with many other aerospace standards, the decimal point (“.”) is used in this Standard when providing dimensions in inch-pound units. NOTE The use of non-SI units and the decimal point in this Standard does not constitute gene

The porting tool will size the minor dia and provide balance of cavity configuration ready for br
、oaching serration. 2) After serrations are broached, chip removal is required. 3) The minimum boss diameter “B“ and boss length “H” shown are to resist adapter installation torque and coupling nut torque. They are satisfactory for use in materials that exhibit minimum shear strengths of 179 Mpa (26
、ksi). A 10 % increase in the diameters shown is required for sizes -05 through -08, and a 15 % increase in diameters shown for sizes -10 and above when designing in materials whose shear strength is less than 179 Mpa (26 ksi). Increase not required for -02 through -04. Using design activity may redu
