Warp and weft t

When required stabilising fibres of another material (e.g. aramid fibre) may be stitched at intervals
20、into the array at 90 to the yarn orientation. 3.1.3 Preimpregnate (Prepreg) Woven fabric or unidirectional sheethape impregnated with a matrix resin and suitably processed e.g. B-staged) for storage, handling purposes and curing by heat and pressure without further additives. It gives the requirements, limits and test methods f

This performance level is directly related to the design allowables of that group. 3.1.5 Individual product specification IPS The individual product specification gives the complete information about a certain product of one prepreg manufacturer and i
23、ts performance. Each single product has a separate specification. The individual performance and the acceptance values of the product for release testing are listed including the requirements for physico-chemical testing. 3.1.6 Qualification Proof that the prepreg producer and the prepreg supplied m
24、eet the requirements as laid down in this specification and the relevant material specification. The proof is given by the qualification testing. 3.1.7 Qualification testing Qualification testing is performed on representative production quantities of a specific type or material from a particular ma
25、nufacturing source to determine whether the material will meet the full requirements of this specification and the relevant material specification. These results are also used to establish the individual product specification. 3.1.8 Side qualification Side qualification is a reduced qualification pr

The Co-cured m
27、aterials shall be fully cured in one cure cycle. 3. 29、N 6044-1 : 1995 3.2 Specific 3.2.1 Resin batch A quantity of homogeneous resin prepared, to its final ready-for-impregnation form, (composed from neat resin and constituents (see 5.3.5.2) in one operation with traceability to individual component batches as described in relevant production specifica
30、tions of the prepreg manufacturer. 3.2.2 Woven fabric batch A quantity of fabric of a certain weaving style produced on a specific loom type in accordance with relevant production specifications of the weaver giving full traceability. The production run of the batch shall not be interrupted by a run
31、 of a different material. One batch of fabric may contain a maximum of three batches of carbon filament yarns in warp direction and only one batch in weft direction (case 3:l) or one batch in warp and up to the three batches in weft (case 1 :3). In case of 1 :3 the additional requirement of the samp
32、ling plan (see 6.8.1) has to be fulfilled. Tracer yarns may be incorporated (material: preferably glass). The use shall be agreed between supplier and purchaser. The qualification batches shall contain tracer yarns. The pattern of the tracers shall consist of yarn incorporated every 150 mm along the
33、 fabric length (warp direction) and every 50 mm across the web (weft direction). Qualified fabrics produced without tracer yarns do not need requalification. 3.2.3 Preimpregnate batch (prepreg batch) Preimpregnate containing in the case of uni-directional sheet or tape not more than three batches of
34、 carbon yarn all from the same supplier, impregnated with one batch of resin in one continuous operation In case of preimpregnated fabric a batch is produced in one continuous operation using one batch of resin and one or several batches of dry fabrics, with traceability to the individual batches of
35、 fabric used. These batches have to be constituted from the same type of fabric, supplied by the same weaver. For film impregnation it is permissable for each batch of preimpregnate to contain two different batches of resin, one each side of the preimpregnate, provided there is no change within the
36、preimpregnate batch. A resin batch may contain up to 15% of another approved and within shelf-life resin batch of the same resin type, blended homogeneously with the major resin batch. Full traceability shall be maintained for all raw material constituents. The blended resin batch will have a single
37、 new batch number. A continuous manufacturing operation which conforms to a fixed manufacturing process is defined as one in which the process is not interrupted for more than 72 continuous hours, during this time the materials must be stored according to the certified production procedure. Any inte
38、rruption must not contain a different product run. The total production time, interruptions included, shall not exceed five days unless otherwise stated in the relevant IPS. 4 Requirements This document defines the requirements and expected performance of carbon fibre reinforced epoxy prepreg. For t
39、he complete definition of a particular material type, in addition to part 1 the relevant qualification program (e.g. part 2, 3, .I and the associated material specification is needed. Prior to manufacture of the first qualification batch the prepreg manufacturer shall completely identify the description of the raw materials, equipment, procedures, processes and their manufacturing standards. The certified production procedure shall be presented to

The purchaser shall treat all information contained in the schedule as confidential. Changes of the certified production procedure of a qualified product are subject to the w

The release test report for the first delivery made after the changed certified production procedure shall contain a reference to the change. 4.1.2 Traceability To be presented on request, each individual product shall be identifiable at all stages of manufacture an

Any defects in excess of those allowed according to the following as specified shall be cause for rejection of the specific roll. Two classes of workmansh

The purchase order shall state which class to be delivered and in addition if necessary special requirements due to application by automated placement equipment which shall be specified in the r
