9、3 1 Scope This technical specification defines the requirements for moulded elastomer seal elements for use in hydraulic systems using phosphate ester fluids for aerospace application. It shall be applied in conjunction with relevant material standards unless otherwise specified on the drawing, orde

24、nufacturer and the product supplied are capable of fulfilling the specified requirements as laid down in the technical specification (TS) and the relevant MS. The proof is given by the qualification testing 3.11 qualification testing testing of representative samples manufactured in accordance with
25、the series production requirements, manufactured with specified raw materials and a frozen process, to demonstrate compliance of the product with the requirements of the TS and the relevant MS. 28、oducts used to manufacture aircraft components under relevant contractual responsibilities. prEN 6109:2015 (E) 6 4 Requirements 4.1 General requirements 4.1.1 Manufacturing schedule The product shall be manufactured to reproducible quality and shall fulfill the requirements of the relevant MS, IPS a
29、nd this TS. The manufacturer shall define the raw materials processes and inspections in a manufacturing schedule and present this to the Mandated body/user upon request on occasion of qualification or audit. The Mandated body/user shall treat any information contained in the schedule as confidentia
30、l. Changes of the manufacturing schedule which may adversely affect the quality of the product must be stated by the manufacturer and shall be subject to written approval of the Mandated body before first delivery. If necessary Mandated body may define a re-qualification program prior to approval. T
31、he acceptance test certificate for the first delivery made after the approved changed manufacturing schedule shall contain a reference to the change. 4.1.2 Trace ability Each individual product shall be traceable to the pre-materials at all stages of manufacture and delivery. 4.1.3 Freedom of defect
32、s All products shall be free from irregularities not complying with the requirements of the MS, IPS and Subclause 4.2.2.6. Further irregularities prejudicial to the subsequent manufacture or use of products shall be the subject of further investigations with the manufacturer. 4.1.4 Workmanship The p
33、roduct specified herein shall be processed as required in order to obtain the specified quality. Any defects attributed to bad workmanship shall be cause for rejection of the specific delivery. 4.1.5 Hazardous constituents For qualification the product has to fulfill the requirements, defined in the
34、 relevant MS. For release the product has to fulfill the local requirements of the current health and safety/environmental protection laws of the countries of the purchaser/purchasers. 4.2 Technical requirements 4.2.1 Material The product shall fulfill the requirements of the relevant MS/or IPS. 4.2
35、.2 Specific 4.2.2.1 Test specimens For the minimum number of test specimens see Tables 1 and 2. Test specimens for qualification shall be O-Rings according to EN 6075 or EN 6076. If not specified otherwise in the Table 1, the cross section of the test specimen shall be between 2,62 mm and 3,53 mm (0
36、.103 inch to 0.139 inch) with an optional diameter. For acceptance testing of O-Rings and other seal elements the original parts shall be tested. prEN 6109:2015 (E) 7 4.2.2.2 Conditioning and testing The conditioning and testing of the test specimens shall comply with ISO 23529 at (23 2) C (72 3.6)
37、F and with ambient relative humidity. The time interval between vulcanization and testing shall comply with ISO 23529. 4.2.2.3 Phosphate ester test fluids For qualification testing, all phosphate ester hydraulic fluids that meet EN 6102 shall be taken. 4.2.2.4 Dimensions, tolerances and mass The dim
38、ensions, tolerances and mass shall comply with the requirements of the product standards. 4.2.2.5 Marking of parts Each seal element shall be marked with two (2) white stripes. 4.2.2.6 Surface condition 4.2.2.6.1 Trimming Mold flash shall be removed from the elastomer parts in such a manner that the
39、y conform to the requirements specified herein and on applicable drawings. The method used to trim the mold flash shall not remove the original molded finish of the elastomer part over an area wider than 25 % of the cross section of the part, but not to exceed 1,5 mm (.06 inch) maximum adjacent to t
40、he flash. 4.2.2.6.2 Sealing surfaces Sealing surfaces of elastomers shall be smooth and free from defects, blemishes or irregularities except as permitted by ISO 3601-3 Grade S. The entire surface of the seal element is considered as a sealing surface. 5 Quality assurance 5.1 Test methods 5.1.1 Gene
41、ral The manufacturer shall obtain qualification in accordance with Table 1 and EN 9133. 5.1.2 Specific 5.1.2.1 Examination of product Elastomer parts shall be carefully examined to determine conformance to the applicable product standard, workmanship, finish, trimming and marking. Inspection of the
42、seal elements shall be in accordance with 4.2.2.6. 5.1.2.2 Phosphate ester fluid wetting prior testing If wetting by a phosphate ester fluid is required in the MS, the seal elements wetting shall be done by dipping. Shake off excess fluid before testing. prEN 6109:2015 (E) 8 5.2 Manufacturers respon
43、sibility The manufacturer shall be responsible for the development and manufacture of any product submitted in accordance with this specification. 5.3 Product qualification The product tested in the qualification shall be manufactured in accordance with the same specification and manufacturing sched
44、ule as the serial products which will be delivered afterwards. The qualification is directed to the raw material specification/sources, the equipment and the processes which have been identified in the manufacturing schedule. As part of the qualification, the Mandated body reserves the right to carr
45、y out manufacturing/shop trials and/or additional tests in house or at an independent facility. Qualification to this specification includes the manufacturers acceptance to a quality-audit of the entire production procedure, from the raw material acquisition, through processing steps to release test
46、ing and the use of relevant specifications including the quality assurance documentation of the Mandated body. If required the quality-audit can be carried out in the framework of a non-disclosure agreement. All results of the qualification tests including the manufacturing schedule and approval of
47、the raw materials, the manufacturing of the specimens and the test procedures carried out shall be collected by the manufacturer in a QUALIFICATION TEST REPORT. Upon successful qualification, officially confirmed by the Mandated body, the requirements based on this qualification shall be given in th
48、e MS and IPS. Adjustment of the manufacturing schedule to accommodate improved manufacturing techniques to the state of the art is the manufacturers responsibility but may require side- or requalification to this TS, the MS and IPS. 5.3.1 Qualification testing Unless otherwise required by the MS the
49、 full qualification testing shall consist of the tests given in this standard. The test results shall demonstrate compliance with the technical requirements of this standard and the MS. For products of new materials or for manufacturers without experience of supplying for aerospace applications, this full qualification testing shall be required.
