Chemical Composition4.1 The steel shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition specified
8、in Table 1.4.2 Methods and practices relating to chemical analysisrequired by this specification shall be in accordance with TestMethods, Practices, and Terminology A 751.5. Condition5.1 The wire is cold drawn and furnished in the finish (seeSection 7) specified on the purchase order.6. Mechanical R
9、equirements6.1 The material shall conform to the requirements as tomechanical properties specified in Table 2.7. Finish7.1 The types of finish procurable are pickled finish andbright finish (available only in sizes that can be diamonddrawn, which are generally 0.045 in. (1.14 mm) and smaller).8. Gen
10、eral Requirements for Delivery8.1 In addition to the requirements of this specification, allrequirements of the current edition of Specification A 555/A 555M, shall apply. Failure to comply with the generalrequirements of Specification A 555/A 555M constitutes non-conformance with this specification
11、.9. Packaging and Package Marking9.1 Each coil or spool shall be one continuous length ofwire. Each coil shall be firmly tied and each spool shall betightly wound. Unless otherwise specified, coils shall be placedin drums or paper wrapped and spools shall be boxed in sucha manner as to assure safe d
12、elivery to their designation whenproperly transported by any common carrier.9.2 Each coil or spool of wire shall be properly taggedshowing heat number, grade, condition, ASTM specificationnumber, and size.10.
