Heat Treatment6.1 Samples cut from bars, forgings, or a sample forgedfrom the forging stock shall conform to the mechanicalproperties of Table 1 and Table 2 when heat treated asprescribed in Table 3.6.2 Wh
16、en a sample cut from the forging stock and heattreated as prescribed in Table 2 conforms to the properties inTables 3 and 4, it shall be accepted as equivalent to a forgedcoupon.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The steel shall conform to the requirements for chemicalcomposition specified in Table 4.7.2 Me
17、thods and practices relating to chemical analysisrequired by this specification shall be in accordance with TestMethods, Practices, and Terminology A751, except that forremelt material, product analysis tolerances may be used todetermine conformance to this specification.7.3 For referee purposes, Te

Mechanical Properties8.1 The material shall conform to the mechanical propertyrequirements specified in Table 1 after heat treatment asdescribed in Table 3.8.2 The material shall meet the requirements as to stress-rupture properties specified in Table 2 at the test temperatureindicated aft
20、er heat treatment as described in Table 3.8.3 When specified in the ordering information (3.1.8),material may be ordered without stress-rupture testing.
