Scope*1.1 This specification2covers welded UNS N08020 alloypipe for general corrosion-resisting and low- or high-temperature service.1.2 The pipe covered is nominal

3、pipe sizes up to andincluding NPS 6, with the nominal wall thicknesses given asSchedules 5S, 10S, and 40S and nominal pipe sizes up to andincluding NPS 2, also including Schedule 80S. Table 2 ofSpecification B775 is based on Table A1 of ANSI B36.19 andgives the nominal dimensions of these sizes. Tab

4、le 3 ofSpecification B775 lists the dimensional requirements of thesesizes. Pipe having other dimensions may be furnished providedsuch pipe complies with all other requirements of this specifi-cation.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parenth

8、minology3.1 Definitions:3.1.1 Definitions for terms defined in Terminology B899shall apply unless otherwise defined by the requirements of thisdocument.4. General Requirement4.1 Material furnished in accordance with this specificationshall conform to the applicable requirements of the currentedition

9、 of Specification B775 unless otherwise providedherein.5. Ordering Information5.1 It is the responsibility of the purchaser to specify allrequirements that are necessary for material ordered under thisspecification. Examples of such requirements include, but arenot limited to, the following:5.1.1 Qu

10、antity (feet or number of lengths),5.1.2 UNS number,5.1.3 Size (nominal pipe size and schedule),5.1.4 Length (random or specific),5.1.5 ASTM designation,5.1.6 Product AnalysisState if required,5.1.7 CertificationState if a certification or a report of testresults is required,5.1.8 Purchaser Inspecti

11、onState which tests or inspec-tions are to be witnessed, if any, and5.1.9 Supplementary requirements, if any.6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 The pipe shall be made from flat-rolled stock by anautomatic welding process with no addition of filler metal.6.2 Heat TreatmentPipe of UNS N08020 alloy shall

16、he material shall conform to the composition limitsspecified in Table 1. One test is required for each lot as definedin Specification B775.7.2 If a product analysis is performed, it shall meet thechemistry limits prescribed in Table 1, subject to the analysistolerances specified in Specification B77

17、5.8. Mechanical Properties and Other Requirements8.1 Mechanical PropertiesThe material shall conform tothe mechanical property requirements specified in Table 2. Onetest is required for each lot as defined in Specification B775.8.2 Flattening TestA flattening test shall be made on eachend of one pip

18、e per lot. Superficial ruptures resulting fromsurface imperfections shall not be cause for rejection.8.3 Nondestructive Test RequirementsEach pipe shall besubjected to either a pressure test or a nondestructive electrictest at the manufacturers option. The purchaser may specifywhich test is to be us

19、ed.8.4 Transverse Guided Bend TestAt the option of the pipemanufacturer, the transverse guided bend test may be substi-tuted in lieu of the flattening test. Two bend specimens shall betaken transversely from pipe or the test specimens may betaken from a test plate of the same material and heat as pi

20、pe,which is attached to the end of the cylinder and welded as aprolongation of the pipe longitudinal seam. One test is requiredfor each lot as defined in Specification B775.9. Lengths9.1 Lengths may be ordered as either random lengths(normally 15 to 24 ft (4.6 to 8.3 m) with some agreed uponallowanc

21、e for shorts) or specific cut lengths.10. Keywords10.1 welded pipe; N08020SUPPLEMENTARY REQUIREMENTSThe following supplementary requirements shall be applied only when specified by the purchaserin the inquiry, contract, or order:S1. Corrosion TestsS1.1 One intergranular corrosion test per lot shall

22、be per-formed by the manufacturer on a sensitized specimen andtested in accordance with Practices A262. When this supple-mentary requirement is specified, the specific practice (PracticeB or Practice E) shall also be specified. If Practice B isspecified, the specimen must pass with a rate of less th

23、an 0.002in. (0.05 mm) per month. A lot for intergranular corrosiontesting shall be the same as for mechanical testing.S1.1.1 In addition to the anneal recommended in Note 1, thespecimen shall be sensitized for1hat1250F (677C) beforebeing subjected to corrosion testing.S1.1.2 If any corrosion test sp
