34、f Specification B230/B230M.4.2 Before stranding, the 6201-T81 wire used shall meet therequirements of Specification B398/B398M.5. Joints5.1 In conductors composed of seven wires, only cold-pressure welds and electric butt, cold-upset welds may be madein the six outer finished wires. No welds are per

Such joints in the same wire or anyother wire in the conductor shall be not closer than prescribedin Table 3. Following welding, electric-

36、butt welds in 6201wires shall be annealed for a distance of at least 6 in. (150 mm)on each side of the weld (Explanatory Note 2).6. Lay6.1 The preferred lay of a layer of wires is 13.5 times theoutside diameter of that layer, but the lay shall be not less than10 nor more than 16 times this diameter.

37、6.2 The direction of lay of the outer layer shall be right-handunless specified otherwise by the purchaser. The direction oflay shall be reversed in successive layers.6.3 In a conductor having multiple layers of aluminumwires, the lay ratio of any aluminum layer shall not be greaterthan the lay rati

Construction7.1 The number and diameter of wires and the areas of crosssection of conductors shall conform to the requirementsprescribed in Table 1 or Table 2.7.2 Recommended standard strandings are as shown inTable 4.8. Strength of Conductor8.1 The r
